Not a very important question or whatsoever.
Since it all depends on the size of the stages, but I thought it would be nice to make a little overview anyway, just to see which festival will damage your ears the worst
So bring it on, what's your sound system setup! |

The soundsystem there was a 150KW one. OZORA and No Mans Land will have 200KW Meyers sound. |

it's not about size, this doesn't matter
it's ALL ABOUT QUALITY! - generally, not just soundsystem...

I've heard some rumours about SONICA...
First 2 editions D&B, line array q1 and c4 series.
This year funktion one rig..
It is all about pressure (db), not so much about power (kW).
Btw looking forward to check Meyer sound at nml in hungary.

I too think that system rocked... first time for me to listen to F1 ...It was big allright, but i actually think it was way to small for the amount of people, stereofield was narrow and in some moments the sound was just too loud, instead of being present.

That's it....the Vuuv main floor had 90KW this year but would blow 95% of all other systems with double capacity to bits anytime....the pressure was just literally insane...just like the quality of the sound which didn't loose a fraction of it at all...1 of the best systems in the world i.m.o., those Germans sure know how to rock !

Boom 2006 sound was far from perfect. To start, speakers should never be standing on the ground but always above you, specialy in such powerfull sound systems. Always!!!
Can you imagine the dampening and reflections just from the 5000 people in front of the speakers? Secondly, the subs were not playing the right frequencies, not if you want SQ. The "tent" was also too low so, even more reflections...
To tell you the truth I witnessed small parties with much more power and sound quality than most festivals.

VuuV this year is the best I have heard..the pressure was mind bending...definately louder than previous years. And I firmly believe that the dark stuff they play at night leaves no space in the music to appreciate the sound..its like being attacked by a drill with a sound system that crisp with nightmare music Loadsa people love that though
