I THINk that the chemical gang (skazi,void,tube,exaile,psychotic micro,damage)
are now the artists that are taking the scene to some place new (good or not we will see)
you can see this in the place that the artist are plying in,and the amount of recgnition that they are getting world wide.
every place i go in diffrent scene you ca always say the name and ppl heard about it.
so who do you think make a real diffrence these days??????

this thread has the potential of becoming another list of endless names that's really not serving any purpose.
i think our chemical crew promoter here wants to know who is groundbreaking right now...
groundbreaking... that's a tough one to answer since opinions may vary even amongst people who have some sense of what that definition actually means. One would have to seriously analyze objectively, which in my opinion is impossible since we all have our prefrences and tastes in music.
the whole nature of "good" and "quality" in itself is another discussion alltogether since without a proper definition no progress in investigating this question can be made responsibly.
i hope my answer to this thread is taken seriously and was not just another attempt by cyclope to post something promotional about chemical crew.

the thred is just to know who do you think make a diffrence in the little trance scene that we are in.
serge and dado: playstaion 2 sound for the grandturisimo 2
skazi: poul okenfold,prodegy,air,underworld,the fuji rock festival,pixes,pj harvi chemical brothers,primus,basment jaxx,and shows all around the world with very big names.
dino psaras: made traks for mtv and global underground,perfecto.
gms movie soundtrek
this ppl make a diffrent and taking our scene to a diffrent level
and making a buzz on this music everywere..
and taking us to another place.
its not about personal taste its just what is infront of our eyes..... |

yeah man this kind of artists are taking the trance scene to a level that is at least 3 years ago, to forget.let me tell you one thing if you have been in boom 97 you understand what i mean because the trance scene nowadays is shit kids doing drugs with the dream of becoming pseudo freaks with colorfull clothes and rastas .and for skazi man in portugal he is here at leat once for mounth and brings always is crew .with music that sounds alwais the same and using the same production line again again and again guitars guitars and guitars.not to talk about the people that are alwais in is partys mitras ,junkies,and cocain addicts the perfect music for a bad trip |

im not talking about the music itself,but this artist make the trance more known world wide,and aprichiated by the media and taking the trance from goa junkis in the forest to more commen ppl that get exposed to the trace for the first time and get hook.
and gandharva maybe yo dont like skazi music but you cannot denay that in this full on gnre they are the best,and they are doing the exposere job bettr from every one.
dont forget the problem that trance have all over the world with the police and the athoritis,and slowly slowly becuse of this kind of exposer it become more easy for every one to,make partys,and enjoy party,and to paly in partys with no fear that the party in going to end. |

When trance becomes more and more acccepted, then that is because it becomes more and more mainstream and fitting into the system. That equals no 'danger' to the system, therefore accepted.

Who said anything about the music changing?? If the mainstream people can start liking psytrance, full-on or whatever, i think it can only help artists grow.. but of course, who would want the scene to grow past hippies that don't wash themselves..?? 
where does all this reason come from?? its as if people here are scared that others beside them will like there music, and it somehow makes the value of it drop.. BUT IT DOESN'T...

I will try a theory then :
Once there was a bunch of highly stoned and idialistic human beings that were so evolved that they wanted much more from the music they heard, unlike the massive sheeply crowd that surrounded them and wanted nothing to do with this insane idea of progression, so the quite bored bunch of humans began experiencing with the tech that was offered to them at the time and made some really neat noises that made our life much more blurry nowadays.
most of that bunch eventually disappeared, each to his/her own business,next we came,and evolved to the same state of needs like this bunch and we became far more sophisticated and cheeky in our own much more evolved musical universe, and now after a couple of years, the sheeply massive crowd is getting closer to the musical needs of us and the producers which are the veteran of us are now jumping at the option of making some sweet money out of the awekward new generation of trancers, while the rest of the oldskool and some of the newskool are getting comfy in our caccoon state until the next big bang ...
