hello tal...
yes, this particular post was very wisely
written. nothing wrong here.
but other posts and especially the conversations we've had shed a different light on the whole.
yes, you are supportive to the (finnish) sound that you like. ofcourse, this is natural. who wouldn't support music that one likes?
but you aren't supporting the finnish scene
(and you claim to do so)
with comments as "monkey on the keys music" or "shit". not very politely put, is it?
blaah...
well, this is my last post concerning this
matter... i just had to say it out loud
cheers, jyrgen
p.s. ...and you don't need lots of psychedelics to understand the sound
if you have an open mind (already).

well, i won't get into accessible vs inaccessble. i do believe it's just a matter of taste.
i guess i'm pretty lucky to live in oregon as i have almost 5-6 friends who are really into the suomi sound
(one of whom i brought texas faggott out in 2000-which i missed because the date was listed as saturday on one website and the party was friday. i almost cried when the girl at the door told me it happened the day before...one of the great tragedies of my life i think)
(and another one runs a record store that gets me lots of good sounds from the north)
maybe one day we can charter a jet from helsinki (it's gotta look like the one on squaremeat's album cover) to oregon and get all you crazy dudes over for a party btw- Ulf, you'll have to get on board too somehow as Weirdo Beardo has to be 'in da house'!!
peace bros

The are so called "open minded"..
Double standards as usual.. I hate that. Thats a big fucking reason for why I don't like to go to parties anymore. The so called "open minded" people, that can't stand listen to anything else but mainstream shit...
I feel sorry for them. They don't know what they are missing out on..

I think I've already signed on, but I'll do it again and again, if it helps Suomi sounds in Israel....

i´m really not into the crazy stuff at thixxndixx... but the older stuff i do enjoy.
for example the fusion vs. confusion and bliss point collections by exogenic really rocks my world.
kiwa and highpersonic whomen kicks ass as well. |

Well I brought Tommi from Haltya and his friend in Israel last week-end.
When I made the booking I was so afraid the Israeli crowd won't be able to digest it. But boy what a huge surprise I got. Not only people liked it, it caused quite a chaos in Israel.
People are starting to be more open minded. I don't think this music will ever be accepted and loved by most trance lovers, but I believe that more and more people are looking for these unusual sounds.
Keep the faith. After what I saw last week-end, I will defenitely fight to bring more of such acts to Israel.
  Majority is never right!
