As I listen to my ChillAmbient collection I often think 'hmmmm that's a cool sample' and wish to know more info about it, its origin and even the reason behind it (if there is one).
Any one is welcomed to add a question and hope to find an answer... hope I will.

for starters:
The 'Messenger - Jorg On Mushroom' from the begining 'till about 0:44...
what's he saying and where is it from?

from 'Soul Vibration' two samples are interesting Exit Chapel Perilous's begining and Red Seal all along the track

10x for the info!

p.s
Artists are more than welcomed to add thier 2 cents           To Infinity And Beyond!

I belive Jorg On Mushroom's intro is one of them (jorg or Duvdev I guess) talking. It's deffently backwards. Try to play it backwards, and you'll find out.

'Tripswitch - Tachyon'
"- I'm curious. How did you get to Earth?
It's a matter of harnessing the energy of light.
I know that sounds crazy to you.
You beings are eons away from discovering light travel.
- that according to a man who lived on our planet named Einstein, that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light?
what Einstein actually said... was that nothing can accelerate to the speed of light, because its mass would become infinite. Einstein said nothing about entities already travelling at the speed of light or faster;- at tachyon speeds...."

I have no clue. I dont have players that can spin a record backwards.
But I would like to know my self. Anyone know?

im not too sure...but if this is backward masking...then you can record this stuff on to a audio casssete(if you can find one) then open it up and reverse the tape...n play it, ive done this a long time back... n it works!

getting offtopic here but i have to give a more simple approach than that tape stuff. how about just recording it as .wav or whatnot and reverse it in a audio program you're running?
it's very heartwarming to see that people go to such trouble just to find out what somebody was mumbling into a microphone

Hello. I presume you mean the muffled voice where you can't quite make out what she's saying?

Well, I'll tell you a secret. The guitar on that track was recorded by a pal of mine, Andy Brunt - sadly, not credited. When he'd done his takes he plopped his guitar down on the floor. I still had the sequencer recording, and that "sample" was radio noise recorded through his pickups as it lay there.

What you hear on the track is exactly what came out the guitar, no FX or plug-ins whatsoever. So of course it had to go on the track.

You just can't beat a good accident.

Hello. I don't really know what you mean by this question, but the guitar playing is just a pal and good guitar player, Andy Brunt, playing his guitar along to the bass, drums and organ skanks that had already been recorded. Just like laying the guitar down on a rock track really. He was kind of making it up as he went, but we picked up on a couple of gems that he came out with and stuck with those. Don't know if that answers your question or not?

About the Messenger, ripped the cd to .wav and played it reversed in soundforge, emm.... i myself had no chance of understanding anything, too many effects, i'm even not sure it's reversed speech , or at least not in English definately, neither in some roman, german or slavic language

@Warwick
Haven't thanked you for the info so 10x!
U did answer my question. It's great to see so many minds behind a single track. We need more of this kind!

@Begemot
The start is divided to 2 samples, still remains a mystery though...           To Infinity And Beyond!
