i like to listen to trance at nature, at small parties with good ppl, dj and sound system and to make from that something like ritual (im not used to go to parties freqently). i feel the unity with nature and simply entering inside trance music (all exept minimal trance couse till today i cannot communicate with it)
but from the other side one of gre8 events was when me and my friends simply climbed to carmel , i put my car soundsystem to full volume so my friends digged at circles around the car and me layed on the car roof, watching to the night star skies and enjoed every beat (that i felt with all the body couse it was like as u will lay on soundspeaker). i didnjt put attention till i recognized that about 1 hour passed (and im energetic person that cannot seet for couple of minutes in my ordinary life).
p.s nobody of us didnt used drugs so it happened when we were at clear mind.

the best place to hear trance is when you visit your grandparent , you need to come with earphone and them no pay attention to this !

IMO, the best place to listen to trance is sitting down in a couch, alone, in a dark room, with closed eyes and no distractions, on as good a sound system as possible. With or without any external errr, influences. I can do (and have done) this for hours (long live CD changers). This is meditation for the lazy people
The best place to experience it, is on a beautiful sunrise, surrounded with friends, in a beautiful place.
Set and setting - according to the McKenna rules, only the music is the drug.
