Music changes, evolves, develops.
And so do we.

It's the same as if someone during the 70's would have asked during the 80's what has happened to the music.

actually I think most israeli trancers were exposed to Goa first. and werent born to minimal. but time has changed and those old sounds just can't thrill you again the way they did before. some still do but that's just nostalgie syndrome.

BLT. One Israeli guy with a great sense for groove. Viva Yuli! Sure, if you want to get that oldschool feeling in the music today only with a modern production, the amount of acts that do it in Israel are very small (BUT, there's the wonderful debut album of Insect Sun that really gives all of the goa fans a smile, even though they did it in a modern way).

As to the most Israeli people were first exposed to goa... well, that's true, but most people I see at parties today have been going to parties since 99 or later, and all they know is full-on and minimal. They just weren't there before. They don't know any better ...

Even though I myself feel sometimes that at 9AM, the entire crowd is begging for some old fassioned goa to lift them even higher (and I find it sad that some people don't even know that). I mean the problem with the music today is just that it's too controlled (even the full-on, and I'm not talking just about Absolum here). Music should be also an expression of freedom, and that is getting drowned in the slick production values that we hear today.

It's not nostalgie - I just like it when my music changes to fit my mood at the party. Like I always say - Sweden (progressive ) rules the night, but the morning is a totally different story.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

ok i open that thread when i was drunk so i miss some parts of my idea.
my main idea that trance music that should be without any limits just won some of them and ppl even not notice to that.
and i ask my self "well it is your fav style and you even not trying to undersatnd it? and how come the trance music "won" some limits?
and all of that make me sad           Apo Rado Dacho.

Well, trance is very limited - with the exception of the crazy finnish people, nearly NO ONE is breaking new grounds. The "proper" production and build to tracks have added some very powerful elements into the music, but also took away some of the freeform creativity it had 5 years ago. Koxbox's first two albums wouldn't have made it today, even though they're widely acknowledged as brilliant.

Those limits.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

kaz kaz kaz kaz... what the fu@#$ are you on about? the army fucked your head mate... seriously, too bad you didn't get out on a 21 profile before your tironot - but it OBVIOUSLY did something, the guy spoke about MINIMAL as a LOST GENRE and he seeks to GOA FULLON, dont write what you dont know about - P L E A S E.
And stop catogerizing FINNISH people as the only ones who break limits , please, check out Bitchieportman at Ambrosia for a REFRESHING change... please stop being so ignorant, even though you won't like the message this reply delivers it is obvious that in some point by looking back you'll find it true. DO NOT CATOGERIZE - NEVER, DONT LABEL, AND MOST IMPORTANT - Dont speak as if you are Astral Projection / Infected Mushroom / Hux Flux / Mfg ---> IF YOU ARE DEFINITLY NOT ONE OF THEM.
Peace and dont take it too personal, heh?
Yuli Yuli Yuli... all that bloke is doing is selling his product under HIS name ... He's the only one in the scene who uses his REAL NAME SOOO MUCH therefore he seeks money for his Name-tag and he will never break limits with that additude.

Wake up people, there's more to Trance than ever was, stop living in the past - we are way ahead now, and btw...
This replies to the real issue here:

Mate, here's one funky Israeli bro for you under ambrosia named: Bitchieportman and the minimal thingy really fitted the Israeli mood, bombs, bombs bombs = > dont feel like dancing too much...

Good morning vietnam!!!!

Oh yeah... Sandman used his real name alot aswell (some time ago...) and where is he right now?

People... do yourselves a big favor - wake up, smell the coffee, and download Bitchieportman from Ambrosia (see new trax section for details)
No israeli does it better nowadays (but you'll understand that only if you'll play his trax on a high volume good quality audiozyztem.)
