unless someone does something about the police-state-quo that
dictates the athenian night life and the numerous
'roufianous' (see 'grass') it seems a bit unreal to have
expectations from the promoters.

well I don't know anything about the situation in Athens
but I hear promoters say that there is a polish problem
Ok maybe there is such a problem
but I see another more serious one...
maybe you have trance community there
but honestly I don't believe that you have the bumping crowd,the crowd that will make a promoter to take all that risk and put all his money to bring some good names in your town
I'm telling that for 2 reasons
1)we also had polish problems here in Salonika from the early days and even till now,parties were closed by cups even this season
but we continiue to make parties and we make them better every time cause our crowd makes promoters sure and 'demands' throw his attitude good names
2)even before these "polish problems" were there any good parties in athens the last years?
Except if you liked gms,goa gil,infected mushroom play all the time...

I see a lot of friends here are talking about the polish(why do u write like that??) in Athens...I think the people in Athens can only understand what is going on there,really the situation is out of control but in the control of the cops....
Trippy_movek the artists u mentionned are the only parties u have been in Athens?if u have....too bad for u my friend  ...Because there were some really Great parties with artists that haven't been to Thessaloniki or other city.And now, those who wanna hear some music and wanna dance, they are organising some festivities (panepistimia or smaller clubs)having nothing to do with promoting or making money, just for having fun... |

to be onest there is no party scene in athens any more/ we just promote parties with big reesk /the scene of trance is not the cops falt but to say the truth the peoples / if the atitude of the scene was not so badly heard there would not be police problem/ you cannot understant how many mothers and fathers call the police and complain that there kids go to these events and take drugs/ so if the trance connection goes like now there will be only privet parties in secret places/so every one can try do do there best because this scene was made for people do understand the music bye there selfs not to trip the music/ |

the point is that there is not a good party to go to!i would come to salonika but its a little bit far!so pls organise a party guys!last year i remember a few parties..this year there is a party every 3 weeks! |

Things in Athens are quite simple really...
First of all there really is a serious police problem. This is because someone is calling them all the time and informs them about the parties being held in the city. I don't know whether the people who are calling them are parents as some said or someone else. You do the math and figure out who it is. I keep my opinion to myself...
Secondly, there is a problem with the venues in Athens especially if you want to have a Psy-party. Most venue owners can't afford to take this risk because of police problems and of course, because they have their own problems with the police whether this is not having the proper licenses or something else...
Third, there is not a problem with the club crowd in Athens as someone stated in here. In a capital city of 5 million people I don't think that this is the case. It's more a value for money thing. Why pay 30 euros to go to a party where it is barely decorated and you don't have any commodities available while being afraid of getting caught by the police just for being there???
Fourth, there are some good names that have appeared in parties in Athens but more or less the same people come all the time. Personally I am tired of this. As many other people in Athens as well.
Last but not least, all these things that I and other people describe in this thread are so much discussed here in the past. The people responsible for this know what to do if they want to change anything. It's a matter of stop beating around the bush and take some action. Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it... |

...and I am coming back to my words again the scene becomes more underground in small capacity clubs with trancers be hunted and wanted by the society and chased by the cops because the truth is that we are the most aggresive generation, the music, the dress code ,and our vibe, are too much ,too high and so many years forward to the future from other dance music scenes and styles.
Joints smoking in club only happens in our scene and nowhere else and thats good because we feel freedom in our actions and bad because is ilegal.

Grapes of wrath was really undergound with an elf decoration and private admission from mhtsos but...a really good party and I mean panigyry! only summer at sonica fest in Italy!!! see you there!!!
