weeeelll...i've been watching that lately a lot of pop Artist are going into the Electronic Music, like Britney, Enrique Iglesias, Jlo and other fuckin freaks...

so my question it's simple...what u think about it?

how far will it make it?

is it somehow David Guetta's fault(as this almost began with him and the Black eyed Peas awful i gotta feeling)??

Pop music is usually Electronic music bro. When was the last time you've heard acoustic pop music?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Yeah it's been like at least a decade since I remember any pop music being proper rock/acoustic. Even the few pop rock bands now have a very over processed synthetic feel to their sound.

It'll be nice when this dies out & it goes back to proper music. Maybe it'll be worth tuning in to.

Dave Guetta is just the current incarnation of pop electronica, his style has been around for yonks!           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Rock music is usually electronic music but that's not the point here bra He's talking about that generic 4x4 kick, progressive house basslines and other sounds brought in from house music and sold to Enrique,Julio,Jennifer,Britney etc so they can make shit load of money... Correct me if I'm wrong...

Did you miss the 90's bro?           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

i know exactly what ya'll mean. alot of 10 year old pop was more rap/hiphop influenced. now it's more towards electro house and dubstep.

it's nothing new, it's just people making money off what the kids like.           Doof Local

Hey, Anyer, looks like you're really into this stuff...

Things will get ugly when we get remixes to Poker Face and S&M.

It's not new. Back in the late 80s, the KLF wrote a book called "The Manual (How to Have a Number One the Easy Way)". Part of their recipe for a hit single went along the lines of "base your song around whatever's hot in the clubs where young people go to dance". They weren't the first to do it, and it's obvious they weren't the last!           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

I still have Train To Trancental on 12" roud:

It is my dream job to be writting beats, basslines and hands in the air string stabs for good buck. The producers who wrote these make some serious cash.

Didn't Les Rythm Digitales write the music for one of Madona's albums? Imagine being a house producer and having Madona's agent calling you up to write music for her new album. One word springs to mind Keeerchhh$$$$iiiiing!

I've also done this a few months ago with a singer from a rock band that wanted to have a pop at this dance/pop thingy. I don't know if I wanna post the clip here tho

Peace out.

It's been going on for quite a while and is not a new trend. Talking about Britney, Justin, Timberland etc. it all stated when Electro House got popular.
