I'm taking the courage from a previous topic concerning S.Africa and I'd like to tell me waht's your opinion about the Greek parties ,artists and the greek psychedelic movement
greeks can also tell their opinions but don't start the greek(you know what I mean)
looking forward hearing from u international friends

I like Greece, one of my favourite places for holidays, and vacation ... Athens is very nice, and offcourse i like greek people too. Parties are good i presume, but i never been at any, maybe latter this year i visit Athens, and than i will go to some party for sure.

What the fuck..
I dont like Greece and Greeks.
They just drink frappe cofee under the sun
and eat souvlakis all the time. They like to travel
all over around the world for festivals and make fun.

Ok lets see.I'll try to be short.
I've been in Greek psy scene from '98 to '03...5 years of madness 
Parties those days were great,at least most of them.There were weekends with 2 or 3 parties so we even had to choose some Saturdays.The vibe was fine,people too.Then we had the Samothraki events(i was there in the historical Solaluna2001 and in 2002).Thinking about this...all this great memories of music,people and places is what makes me happy to be a part of the psy scene in Greece(i wish i was there from '96).
Nowdays things are different.My old psy friends are not going to parties anymore.Neither do i.Music is way too commercial.Most of the people are having an experience of 1-2 years of partying and some of them are going to parties just to mix some drugs.Party organisers care a lot about their money,and please dont tell me im wrong because....just watch the line-ups!
Ok i dont want to be tragical though.The scene is still strong.There are a lot of underground parties and some very good moves with old respected artists,so at least you have the chance to avoid this commercial wave(check Derango Live\Psyfactor live\Jahbo set in 18/6 and MWNN live(!)\Electric Universe live some days before).But again,pure Goa-heads are out of the party scene for good.Im more into IDM/Downtempo Electronica for example.That's all.Some people might say that party scene in Greece is fuc*ing great even today.Im ok with it,i just said my opinion.I MIGHT be wrong
