What's with these hidden tracks

Lately almost every c.d I get, has a hidden track.
At the beginning it was nice, new, refreshing, entertaining and fun. But now it has lost its originality. So why? Even the c.ds with the most original music has a hidden track (Haltya, Possible Apple etc.). So? Been there, did it, yalla let's move on. No?

i acctualy like it
it's like a littel suprise in the end of the album
i remeber when i herd the offspring cd and in the end ther was an acordion varition of the "preety fly for a white guy" .... so funny ....  |

hidden tracks have been around a long time, used in most the genres. I dont understand why are you complaining. if you dont like it, hit stop just think of it as an extra bonus. no harm to anyone, a little extra happiness for some

RaverGirl: be carefull with what You are writing here, 'cause there are many artists on this forum reading each and every post and one day You may end up with a new CD, which will feature a hidden track with distorted (f.e. in a Hallucinogen manner) words saying:
And unfortunately this is not a proper review to start a thread with. (*here a bong sound, a sample about drugs or sth*) Pls check out other threads in this section in order to have an idea on how to make reviews.
... now that would be original.
ps. For everyone : consider a hidden track with Mr Mackey (from South Park) saying: "mp3's are bad... You shouldn't download / trade mp3's, mkaay?"
... maybe on a next Elysium Project's album? 
But seriously, hidden tracks are rather cool provided that people don't get carried away and insert one on every release.

It isn't much of a problem. And actually the Possible Apple release is pretty old already. |

btw the one on Etnoscope's album is probably the best hidden track ever..

i dont see the problem... RG i suggest pressing stop on your cd player after the last published track to prevent future aggrevation.
fav hidden track: NIN-Broken CD track #98,#99.

lol Templar... I almost fell of my chair from laughing...hahaha
What I'm saying is that hidden tracks are nice, but everybody are doing it today, so it's not really hidden anymore, is it?
I bought 3 c.ds where all of them had hidden tracks. ??? It's loosing the originality.

Mr. Cohen ... It's when you get "added value" at the very end of a CD... After the last track is finished, usually there is silence for a few minutes - and then you get a hidden bonus track... ;o)
It's on NUMEROUS CDs nowadays as RaverGirl has pointed out...
