What´s the movement all about?

Hi all,
I´ve seen a lot of posts full of the wrong energies creating lots of downwards spirals, it´s a fact that the scene is growing and new pp ariving not necessarily knows IMO what the movement´s all about.
We are THE ONE MASSIVE, as we actually know we´re subjective readings of the same primordial truth, disrespectfull and violent positions and behavior do not fit the psytrancegoa lifestyle...
Expressions like killer and bombar (in portuguese) doesn´t help or makes it easier for every1 to be in the nicest vibes.
Nor thus phisical threats and other agressions, even in response to something done to u...
I, as a part of the one massive, call upon my fellow freaks to share good and bad stories and insights... just asking the bad ones come in a constructive package

Come on Traveller, I've seen ur posts around... When u talk about music with spirit ur talking about something beyond music (and I agree this special kind of music is or should be what take us there)... don´t u forget, the music, the Trance is a mean, not the goal...
 U can do better than that man, nice webpage by the way

imho those are not values of "the ravers manifeste" but values of the human kind ..shouldn't really matter what music you are or are not into.. those values are just.. (well more like should be) part of human nature..

This was something I was experiencing at the amazing fullmoon party (in germany), the party was big but it was small enough to really get to know a lot of people, we were like one big family for some days..
Everybody sharing what they got, sharing food, sharing good vibes, sharing stories, sharing a trip 
Out of all those days nothing violent or disrespecting happend, and If you ask me thats what its all about ... feeling one with everyone ..

To me, the only common thread in the psytrance "movement" is the music. Not even specifically psytrance music, but just music in general. Everything else is personal to each individual. Each person finds something unique to themselves in it and gets something different out of it. It is not *about* any one thing (or even 1000 things). It is about whatever YOU want it to be about.
Don't let somebody else tell you what your experience should be.
The values I hold and the ways I try to treat people are the same as in my everyday life. If I meet somebody at a party, I will treat them and respect them in the same way that I will be with somebody I meet in my job or in a bar or wherever.
Why should Peace, Love, Freedom, etc... be specific to some "raver's manifesto"? I am with traveller on that one...those are good values for people in everyday life. More common sense than anything. I have never considered myself a "raver" and never would either. Barf.
Anyways, there is the long answer to your question.

well some are just in it for the music, some for the drugs, and some are in for the spirit ...
I go to parties for all the reasons, but mostly because of the spirit of the people who comes there, Its maybe hard to describe but I feel there is something special about psytrance .. people are very open and positive about life and the earth, and its very easy to talk to people (people you never seen before, but feel you allready know ...)

It´s a valid answer... I just think the conclusion is just jumped right through... I do not want to create an elite of ultra-civilized automatons... not yet anyway
I agree those values should be taken to our everyday life, but... there IS a raver´s manifesto, and those are the values...
I´m a raver, sorry... U r free to be whatever u want... and are welcome in our Elysium (Raves), as long as u abide by those values... And I believe u do...
And I also do believe we can be better at our lives, at our partys, at our vibes, without giving up a inch of freedom or freewill or whatever name is given to normalize ur sacred power of choice...
As this power is not just a another common style of thing, psychedelic eletronic music isn´t just another kind of music... be one with everything...

With Due respect to each opinion-------
i dont think its any movement coz its already there i mean the “trance” coz it doesnt convert but attaches those who like it; scientifically its “nothingness/happieness” !! (its my opinion so no offenses)
well there r diff. ppl with diff. opinions and beliefs. some would like trance for music .
some for the psychedelia .
some for elevation .
few for God knows wht.
som o them will make it their road towards the truth by means(trance) to meditation .
few for all of the above reasons
few like to dance on the beats and feel pwrfl .
few to loose control .
some like the deco. And the srndngs
i like it for wht it is by realizing most o the above and more bcoz its music without any reason or msg" just music "and it puts u in a state o trance where u dont think at all' and realize that you r no one and evryone and then its light like you've gone dead ha ha ha then for whtevr time one stays in this state there is no "matter/physical-self" just the soul
and thats the Alpha stage where you dont need Acid or anything but you are there for real in your halucianation or your dreams or maybe on MARS (this is all what i feel if the music really carrys me/it doesn’t happen always and I wish for always ) and also the mzk brings me bck .
so all in all it’s a feeling tht can never be described in one go but one has to feel it from within . It’s a state o mind and O wht a beautiful state o mind it is ………….
Basically its within everyone I mean the capability to realize but those attached to the games of this magic doesn’t go beyond ,few do go while tripping and believe me that stage where they do not realize anything and everything ,its the actual state of trance but ppl think they are tripping on something .
This mzk called trance is the catalyst and rest is the magic of the mind, the serotonin which works .
Other things are GOOD these come with the package called TRANCE MZK like PLUR freedom etc. and it definitely brings out the good in u only if u realize, I mean good doesn’t mean Gandhien good but being reasonable coz u get addicted to the drug called happieness and after a while finds it everywhere .
Feels good to write all of this and I think thts too much friends wont like to bore those who couldn’t get it …………………

jabba....ur spot on, can i have some of what u take???? But yeah...psycedelic drugs and repetetive beat using full use of frequencies from bass to strange high pitched sonic sounds with bright flourescent visuals as decoration and clothing of the dancing masses.....total sense stimulation no.....before go completely offtopic, the manifesto....swamis meditating and all that would rate the sentiments of the statement....was not this scene kickstarted by someone of this nature, perhaps even if one just likes this craziness for the music an aknowledgement should still go those whose original faroutness kickstarted what we love out of their love and best intent to make this world a better place, whether we consider this to be down to earth or not.
