Me also, to bad that we don't have many psy partys there!!!
i like also ct plus but the guys who organized the partys there are a bit weird so the feel inside this club is weird also!!!!

U Matic hasnt got a good sound system at all in my humble opinion.I have been there so many times and i always thought that the sound was bad.
I think CT Plus is better than U Matic but in general lines here in Greece we dont have a very good club which just deals with Trance music.
Maybe someone should hear these shouts of people demanding something good and start doing something

gorgoe since you know something or at least you say so why dont you share it with us?
By the way a new club is opening in the following month,the place will be at Club 22 and the guys there are really transforming the place from what i have already seen.There will be proggressive parties on Fridays and Psy trance events on Saturdays.

Ofcourse nobody can force U do something that u dont want....:-)
Anyway...for me I think U-matic is the best club for parties in Athens...and yes I believe that the soundsystem is ok....!what is missing in the specific club is a good party organizer and a few or a lot cool Live and Dj sets performances!

The best club? i have been to u-matic and Ct+ several times but i just cant vote any of these clubs as best!I think all we need now is a club with multiple rooms , nice trippy decoration , good music and wild people inside dancing till the first hours in the morning... And of course with normal admission entrance (below 25 euro)... While thinking One word blinks inside my mind , 'ALSOS' ,yeaah IMO that club used to be the temple of psy-trance and not only... Now this looks like an old good fairy tale , but why not make it again reality ? Is the future of Sunrise Zone, 'Ct+'? i hope not... a typical good example of an outstanding psy-trance club was Tyssen in Tyssen street ,London,Uk propably the best psy-trance club i have been ...
Worths to mention that the previous year was a very good try by the 'natural high' crew at 'Gyalino Musiko' theater but now it ended and the parties are moved to the old and mighty rock club AN...a very dissapointed ending..
And what about after hours parties?Kinky closed and Mad playing only house and pure techno...Is there any club at the moment that can be compared
with Battery or Alsos or even Acid(salonica)... I apologise for my negative reaction at this subject but i really wanted state some REAL facts about psy-clubs in Greece.. so which club is the best?
i have no IDEA!

Ct+ has brought some excellent djs this winter, but there are some bad points that in my opinion need to be addressed.
Firstly, the entrance fee. 30-35 Euro (!) is a very high price indeed, and on top of that you get the idiot at the door as a bonus
At one party I spent 20 minutes waiting with my gf at the door, while the doorman was letting his friends go in and completely ignoring us...
When I go partying, I DONT want to wait in the queue, I work all week in order to have fun in the weekend and I pay you to provide me with entertainment. So do us a favour and be polite, be prompt, be efficient.
When you got inside the air-condition wasn't turned on for the first 2 hours, probably to save money...
The worst part was a bit of handwritten paper in the toilet room declaring "Don't drink water from the tap", and a security guy was there to enforce the "prohibition"!!!
This is disgusting. You can see kids who are high or lost in space, and NEED water. If you tell these kids to go and BUY bottled water, then in my opinion you are a fuckin' criminal and a stingy bastard. So if anybody dies of heatstroke, we all need to congratulate the organisers for maximising their profit in any way possible...

Well the prices have gone sky high but as long as we keep going to parties nothing can be done.
To be honest i dont pay at most parties and people that go many years at parties dont pay also because they just refuse to pay these extreme prices and just find a way to sneak in using their connections.
Something has to be done anyway but i dont know what.

alright,psyduck you are 10.000% right..
i will mention a same phenomenon (about water)
that took place at mykonos island this summer:
a 19 year old girl died in one of the most famous clubs there ,because the bar denied to give her water for free ,its really a criminal action if we think that these clubs expect "CUSTOMERS" that living a fully intense way of entertainment .
in another country like Holland an incident like that ,made their Queen and politicians to develop a new law which sais:
"..in any club,bar or other place that is playing music with continious intense(thats how they call our music ) it should be given FREE WATER to anybody"....
SO,IS THE CLUB OWNER's FAULT ONLY ,OR IS IT OUR GOVERMENTS FAULT AS WELL???
as about nice clubs in GREECE ...NO THERE ARENT STILL ...few years ago i could mention some nice clubs such as ALSOS, BATTERY,or ACID,TROLL, etc for SALONICA but now i cant thing of something else...as a matter of fact all the other clubs are nice in GREECE except trance clubs....

Fix Club in Salonica is a very good venue.
I am talking about the new club not the other two that held parties last year.It is an old factory made into an uderground club with a warehouse feel.
It has a high ceiling and one part is made of glass windows so there is plenty of light in the morning. Sound system is also very satisfying, but the dj monitors are very bad, it only possible to mix from the headphones.
One bad part of the venue is that it has a stage so all the burning men (you know Fraktes as you call them in Athens are dancing on it).
Also best summer club i will have to say mamba in porto koufo halkidiki , very nice outdoor location by the sea with camping area and some shower toilets. |

i'm the american daughter (27-years old) of a greek-born father, and i will be visiting greece in the future. if anyone knows of any good psy-trance parties or clubs to look out for let me know. if you refer to a particular place, it would be helpful to know the nearest big city or town, and in which part of greece its in. thanks. |

i'd suggest to give a look at the 'Parties of the week' section before coming to Greece... there you'll find all the info about parties and where/when/how info...
as for clubs.. i'm not familiar with any place playing good trance music... i don't know if there is a good one in Athens but here in Thessaloniki good music is played only at parties..
have a good time when you arrive..

personally i dont think any of the clubs in athens at least are good for parties....i havent been in a party for a while were it wasnt freakin hot and the ceiling wasnt dripping all sorts of liquids.......this music is only to be listened in festivals with the current situation......and the prices are ridiculus....parties in london (tyssen street,drome etc) are very big and the prices are the less than the ones in athens.,....i think that is kind of a joke,,,,,.....
