Its been a long time since he released a trance album. Since then we've been experiencing the techno - minimalism - progressive trance bug in an overdose. So what the hell must simon be thinking i wonder - hearing this monotonic heavy bass assault and massive kickdrums. His music as we all know is complex, multi- layered trance with the music doing the trancing, not just 1 or 2 elements. I bet he's concocting something amazing for us with everything of today and yesterday, imagine this - music which is complex, multi-dynamic, massive yet ever so subtle a kickdrum locked in amazing rhythms and percussion work, all this excellently spiced with simons brilliant melodies and voice manipulation.
well, cant wait to hear the simon of tomorrow,and in the meantime lone deranger and twisted are doing just fine.

you need to anderstan him if he is goona realse
somthing its goin to be fucking good music and it takes time man u need to waite to this doctor
of trance but i can sure u its on the way.

Simon Posford (last time I heard) delayed (yet again) the release of his Hallucinogen - Live album (with recordings of tracks from live preformances). I don't think he's currently working on a new hallucinogen album, even though God knows I want it out as fast as possible.
On the other hand, we can expect stuff from his other projects (younger brother, shpongle, celtic cross, etc), which are still very much active compared to hallucinogen.
As to why no one books him for parties... well, he's expensive, he doesn't have a problem with getting bookings anywhere, and in Israel we just like our mega-full-on trance at parties, and his music just isn't party oriented (in comparison with lets say... Ticon, which musically doesn't even get close to Posford, but at a party can always be counted on to raise some pulses).
Will there be a new hallucinogen album? I sure hope so, because I think the world of trance needs another kick forward, and no one has done that in such an extreme and positive way as Posford did many times before. |

Simon Posford Live is one of the greatest things in the world.
It's just not party oriented like Atmos or Ticon are, that's what I'm saying.
And yes, his music takes you places :) |

as i know, simon today enjoy make ambient much much more then trance. so, he do it...
and for dance music -
its not partyoriented like atmos or ticon or ...
yeas, i agree coze his music not teknoish kick ass pumper, its just twist your mind (and its much much better), so if u groove dancer u wont dance but if u trancer - galaxia before u when simon play, fly carrefully...

Simon is not a musician , he's a magician.
His music takes you to places that no other music can.
By the way ... :) :) :)
there's a new Twisted records compilation coming up in a month or two and there are some Hallucinogen trax there.
Hallucinogen , not Shpongle or something else.
