What motivates you when ur upset?

how do you deal with a moment of depression or simply when ur upset? how do you motivate yourself?

me personally i listen to some music which will distract me from my thoughts because i know that its all in my head and the things arent as bad as they are in my head, hard to get rid of the thoughts.

since i think that there are a lot of people here who see the things not like the average people(dont make me explain what i mean cuz im sure you know what i mean) lets discuss this issue i think w can learn from each other.
if you wanna use your sarcasm or negative behaviour here thats simply NOT the place

Well when something is wrong, I tend to think about it very much until i'm broken down in my head and finally i find out the cause, and i eliminate it. Then happy joy

Music is a good way for distraction and also it can give you an inspiration.
If I'm sad, I will never listen to chill out ( I love chill out but not in this case) - it has sometimes melancholic mood. When I'm sad the Best music is something with funky mood like Ticon.

Lately for me the way to get over it is to feel the sadness (nothing lasts forever), trying not hide it, 'til the motivation fulls all my person again and when that happens it's just magic.
IN my past i did scaped several times from sadness listening appy music, avoiding loneliness, laughin, clubbing, etc, but in the end i wasn't solving the problem cuz sadness remained there hided.
Come on we are just humans, people can laugh and can cry so we just need to practice it.

Yes i think this is a very good medicine
females has a very powerful energy.

i work with almost only girls and its very nice, its very uplifting.

i think the problem when you are depressed is that you have a hard time motivating your self
so best is to find motivation elsewhere..
taking a break and just rest can be a good idea..
The only way to do something is to do it..
i know i make all the obstacles up in my head and that the real thing is not as difficult as i thought.

another thing is to reload your energies, first empty the old and then recharge...
so physical work is a good thing..
run till you feel that you are a new person

when im upset i have a hardtime controlling my self, a good way is to paint a violent picture... just let it out, dont care for details just let the pencile move in a aggressive way... or let it out infront of the piano/keyboard or guitar, drums or any instrument.... or dance to some aggressive music can also help...

this is a great way for me..

I get that bottle out, pour meself some of me favourite scotch whiskey...and drink! the scotch widens my blood vessels, & makes my heart have to work harder to pump blood! with every pumpin heart beat, as more alcohol entres the bloodstream, there is a decrease of activity in most parts of my brain. and there comes a time when.. every cell in my body feels good to be alive!
when I cant seem to do the above mentioned.. I simply listen to some good music, loud. preferably some coldplay, rem, or Pearljam.. depending on my mood!

hmm.. music does help, but it used to help me more when i was younger, and my problems were of a minor importance. the best thing to do when you feel sad is be around ur real friends, in case you have any, talk to them, and spend time with them.
take a long walk in the fresh air.

well i have tried all of the above mentioned prescriptions and they do work i guess its all about psychological setting

the only thing im not sure about is if meditation helps because for me its makes it even deeper but i guess the point is to get deeper and finally find the essence of the problematic thoughts and then.....
when you open your eyes.....
