What makes music psychedelic in your opinion...

Everywhere you look you find fullon vs non full on argument. some people are getting sick of the fullon sound etc etc etc...
So i wanted to ask you all personally what exactly is the nature of the music that makes it a psychedelic experience and tune you into the flow...good music = ..
Personally i like all sorts of psy theres good and bad within each sub-genre? be it fullon dark psy or some minimal... (reefer decree = yummy)
I like the music that draws you in and keeps your awareness on the music and sounds..

noone can explain u what is psychedelic and what is not
make a little experement with uself
1st time take 600 mics of acid and set some fullon album on repeat all u'r trip
2nd time take 600 mics of acid and set some Texas Faggot cd on repeat
and then come back and answer uself

no borring repeating basslines
much colorfull sounds
hellout of off-sync lfo on cutofs
"talking" syth-lines
bottom line brain intertaining music and not robot dance factory

Well, this will vary so much from person-to-person, but for me:
-FX that give the illusion of depth, especially for minimal tracks (see Beat Bizarre - Lewd or Shiva Chandra - Auricular albums)
-weird sounds (see Hux Flux)
-Crazy rythyms made of all kinds of crazy sounds (see Danish artists like GOW, Jahbo, etc and Hux Flux - Cryptic Crunch album).
-Squelchy, acidy, or "talking" synth sounds (see Biodegradable - ayakhustyx @ 3:18 from 7th flight comp. for a talking synth sound).
-Track structure that is not boring and predictable (most of today's stuff is).
-Layering (see Darshan - Awakenings album)
-some degree of originality. Novelty is a large part of psychedelia for me.
-big wide atmosphere |

- Unpredictable but still groovy melodies, noises and effects.
- Strong bassline and kicks with different kinds of breaks.
- Creative build-ups.
- Trippy samples.
- Right "coalhada" (music slow down before the kick).

I think that the Scando sounds are prfect all from Iboga and DIGITALstructures. But the COSMA album is master. I think that the guy ressurect and make music wow no words. Some fast stomping rithams (and good high sounds) like (snare HCC Hi hats) that make a real psychodelic trip. In one track he have prvect to synts lines to great melodis. Respect to COSMA

hidden melodies behind the scene, that flow and go and play around with your brains.
special sounds of special instruments or people or animals, that make it sound distant and new.
Anything out of my daily life sounds can do, but mainly melodies.

Somethink way beyond predictability. Something you can't touch, something beyond describtion. Artist who create some weird sounds, you don't really know what it is.
Something like in Entheogenic's "Habitual Overtones"

For me its psycedelic if the music "talks to me"
But most actual psytrance of every genre talks to me.. but all I understand is "bla bla bla bli bli blu blu"
So this is certainly not what I mean.
So more exact:
if the music talks to me, and I perceive a senseful message in a spiritual, emotional and instinctive channel simultaniously, then it is psychedelic for me.
Negative examples.. :
some super happy club trance, only comes on a emotional channel. -> not psychedelic
some super minimal progressive only comes on a instinctive channel -> not psychedelic
some fullon only comes on a spiritual channel -> not psychedelic...
Infected mushroom, the shen - emotional, instinctiv, spiritual -> definitly psychedelic..
So you see, in my eyes 90% of today "psy" trance is not psychedelic. especially because of the missing emotional component.
sounds - spiritual channel
rythm - insinctiv channel
melodies - emotional channel
got me?

If I can stand on the dancefloor with my hands in front of me, palms downwards, and not move but for my fingers flutttering but still be fulfilled by the music, only then is it true psychedelic.
