Here I am russian guy.So,Ruberoid is right.SS is (maybe ,stupid,but..)the first letters of Sound System.I also dont have idea why the promogroups like this SOUND SYSTEM story,I think is starts after my organisation Aerodance Sound System91994-1997)-which was,plus promotion unit,actually 20 kVt of our own soundsystem,built for Aerodance.
This fyer is coming as a good illustration for my summer topic "WHY DARK",which gave the time for many DARK lovers to discuss in different way,why and what is going with DARK music (and also what is wrong with XP,as well;),but if you see the russian flyer and the skull,dont even think,that there is anykind of ideologic inside.
Absolutely not.Just youth extreme maximalism of Teens age,that made me wear skull tshirts when i was fond of trash and dark metal and punk (when I was 15-18 years old).
Now rock is dead,young people prefere electronic music,so many of those who chose trance ,not techno ,down the influence of this YOUTH MAXIMALISM-and the try to be individual,different are into the kind of the music they call DARK,which is more experemental,extreme and agressive than the other style.
Using the word DARK and,as the result,dark symbols and atributic, young people ( as I think ,80 % the DARK listeners are from 15...16 till 22-23 years old)are giving out also the inner protest against the society,
the bored of eachday life and resolve the generation conflict with the parents and elder people.
What about the flyer-I think is just stupid designer way to put together dark rock into trance culture

Imho it's plain stupid to ask people to stop doing something. Who are you, god? Are you the ultimate judje between right and wrong?
Other people has the right to express themselves as they want, unless it doesn't hurt other people (otherwise they go to jail). And they are not responsible for your own paranoias of specific symbols or other phobias. Excuse me, but YOU'RE fucking with your brain, not them.
I personally think that the flyer sucks because of overall design and theme, but not because of suspicious symbols. |

yeah cmon. lets use fractals again... they are sooo creative.. Now thats fuckin boring! If u dont like the flyer, dont look at it, if u dont like the party dont go, if you dont like the cd, dont buy it, if u dont like the tv program, dont watch it, if ur not hungry dont eat, if youre tired go to bed but please stop fuckin around with something u dont want to be apart of..
How simple is that?
Mind ur own stuff, cant get why u ppl are putting so much energy in complaining.. Do something yourself if youre so damn fuckin perfect..

being different still not an excuse for being ignorant..
and besides i do stuff myself.. making music.. organising parties n festivals etc.. and no way ill promote stuff like this.. or people involved into nazi shit (if thats would be the case)
and one more thing about the if u dont like it ignore it... good thinking... lets put it into a silly example... some skinhead or whatever is bashing ur skull.. we dont like it.. so i guess we just let him bash ur skull eh...

ps : and to satanists.. lol grow up... the age for bedtime stories was a long time ago...

Afraid of the darker side of things eh?? Don't judge people by their beliefs please. While I'm no satanist myself it's blind to ignore other faiths, since they are a reality.
And about the flyer... I don't see the big fuss. I mean if you look in the metal underground we have Sturmfuhrer with their Ich Kampfe album which just depicts Hitler on the front. Now that would be confronting. But scary? No. It's history by now people. History is meant for lessons, not for being ignored. I bet the designers of this flyer will scratch their head when reading all your posts and thinking: Don't know what the big fuss is all about. Maybe they were even oblivious to the reference of the two S'es. People can go a long way imagining the worst... And hey, if you're offended: don't look at it. There's so much stuff in the world out there that could offend you, but do you pay attention to people being tortured in prisons somewhere everyday?? My guess is no. So, don't make such a big fuss about this. Save yourself the trouble and satisfy yourself with the thought the designers were dumb and ignorant and revel that you are better. (Obviously)

A while ago when I literally asked the whole forum if any of the "scary" fans were satanists everybody said NO... so I dont see your point here? Who are we judging and who's beliefs or religion are we stepping on here? As I was being told. No one believe in satanism here anyway!
To me there's only one explanation... It's kids who want to appear "different" and "cool".. To me is absolutely silly and I can only laugh at them...
I am sure most dont even know what the symbols stand for in the so-calleed "dark" scene. Just as most dont have a clue what "Boom" mean.. It's all trends to look "cool" and "in".
They are not even scary... just hillarious naive  |

You cant seriously be that naive dude?
If you see a name saying:
dark seSSion
and the 2 middle "s" are made up quite much as gestapo's Logo then I doubt anyone (maybe except you) would think it's surposed to mean "Soundsystem"...
Whatever you try to explain we are quite many that dont buy it...
These are kids trying to look "special" with a "scary" flyer... And they thought it was "cool" to make the 2 "s" look special too... Just sad the dont have a clue about 2ww and it's abuse of symbols. Or maybe they did and thought it would look "cool" on their flyer... Now that would be scary! |

Yeah. and was answer: it's just a fuckin bad joke of designer and nothing to discuss on 4 pages and screaming "O designer is a Nazi. it's an absurdity. Or U really need designer apologizes for notning? Nazi men in Rus (and inda World) are another sort of people-they more prefer football fights than trance parties and prefer i think another kind of music. |

after this i am not going to write anything more on this subject. i did not write 4 pages here anyway. people can say whatever they want on how many pages possible. besides that - the whole dark trend and things that happen around it, creative music and its brainless clons all over the world are much more than one flyer. me stupid or other people who were same surprised to see it - there is never going to be an agreement when people stick only to their visions and thats it. when they dont want to discuss but only to prove themselves right.
nobody says your party is bad. goodvision makes truly psychedelic designs. and of course same normal people will be there mixed with a crowd of speedfreaks.
psyfactor - i am not psychedelic ideologist. psy trance was created and played at parties when i was still in school probably loosing my mind over russian pop and later nirvana or depeche mode. i go to party for music, not for flyer. i am not skazi fan. many of my good friends make "dark" music an i like it, i am always near speakers when the party is on. i never seen one flyer in goa except maybe a line-up printed on the colored paper.
but i dont like repeated ignorance.
