What is the smallest amount of people you prefer be at a party ?

I know, this might be a bit tricky to answer.
What I want to know is, how small may a party be in order for you to enjoy it?
Well, of course, you can enjoy a party just 2 people, or what ever - The amount of people isnt THAT important for most of you (most of the ones whose opinion I value anyway).
However - If you were to put a number on it, lets say an outdoor event - What would it be ? If you close your eyes and fantasize about a really nice outdoor event, dancing in the forest, how many people are there in your fantasy ?  How many dancing ? How many sitting ?
Perhaps also - What kind of mix of people do you think will create the best vibe ? 50/50 girl/boy ? Only hippies ?
Any suggestions on what you value the most ? What are you looking for ?
As you can see, I want to learn from you all, in order to create something wonderful

Yes really hard to say. I never counted the people on the nice events. But i think i like more smaller parties between 10 and maybe (??) 2-5 hundret people. But i don't like big festivals that much were some thousant people are. From time to time they are nice but the real good parties are the small ones for me.

Smaller ones. But more importantly, the music and sound MUST be good.
Around 50 -100 ppl is more than enuf. No fakers, no hippie -wannabe's. Just plain old normal ppl who love the music. Thats all i need.
And with a fat doobie, i wudnt want to leave.

1 person. Me dancing in my room with my stereo going. More people beyond that just adds to the excitement. Micro-parties with just a few people out in a field or in the woods someplace are lots of fun.
Ive never been to a mega festival but I think thats something I would only want to do once in a while... I think 1-200 people at an indoor is a nice balance between the energy you get from a big group and the feeling of closeness with other people with a smaller party. |

well, I think it needs to be more than 50... If its less then its just too little diversity.. of course for a reunion at a friend´s house or something, 10 is just fine, but for an outdoor party where you want to look and meet a few different people, I think it should be more
Each party has its own characteristics.. I quite like big parties, and had no prob with voov or other ´thousands of people´ festival... I also like smaller parties, with 300 people... but less than that I dont like so much, at least not for an outdoor festival |

well I do.. I love to meet different interesting people.. a lot of things to learn and share, a lot of laughs to have together, experiences to exchange...
plus I like just people-watching..
I really like people.. maybe thats why I study psychology
(and appart from people, music and soundsystem, I also go for location, deco and ´extras´ hehe) |

I imagine that about 50 musicloving and cool human beings would make a good atmosphere for such a party. Hippies, if any stereotype had to be defined.
The party would take place at a beautiful lake surrounded by forest, and it would of course be in the summertime. Alternatively, it could be at a higher ground with a good view to the lakes beneath. Still surrounded by a fair portion of trees to set the mood.

Approximately 20 people would be dancing to the music all the time, another twenty would be sitting around a campfire - wrapped in blankets - playing board games, talking, laughing and maybe even rolling joints.
A passionate guy or gal would be spinning exiting music at all times, and there should be a good variety in genres. A small group of people would almost constantly be creeping around the party site in search of something they themselves wasn't aware of.
At sunset time, these individuals would be gathering at the beach with the rest of the party - everyone admiring the sunset, and the DJ playing a sweet music piece just perfect for the mood.
And I could go on with this for hours... |
