What is the most famous TRANCE band worldwide?

Here in Brazil, IMO:
GMS
Infected Mushroom
Astral Projection
and none of these guys are know outside the psytrance community (where Paul Oakenfold and Van Dyk seems to be much more famous than these ones).
At the psyparties lots of people know GMS and Infected, and ocasionally someone know Astral Projection (which latelly is not been played at parties).
If you play 380 volts or Dance of the Witches here, lots of people will tell you: "I heard it before, it's GMS, isn't it?"
Few people will know S.U.N. Project 'round here.
Lots of people will think must of "The Hits" are GMS (or Skazi).
This is what I see here, "in and out" of the parties.

I do believe it's Astral Projection...they have made it beyond the 'underground side of trance', and into the more commercial side of the scene...and actually they've got my respect for that... =)

sorry to break ur bubble guyz....but all the artists u mention are famous in PSYTRANCE...not "trance". Ur average Joe wouldn't have a clue who the hell Infected Mushroom is...though they MIGHT know who Astral Projection and Yahel are. However, I think the most famous "trance" artists are probably Chicane, ATB, alice deejay, carl cox, Mauro Picotto, Orbital, Sasah etc etc...u get the picture.

traveller you are right about the ep thing.
but the game, every big game that's coming out creates a fuss (even if its not that big) in the gaming world so i'm sure many people heard that "oh some trance band named infected mushroom is making the ST for this game.... hmm interesting" 
plus they will be even more known after the game is out.
