My recipe for a good morning party:
5 cups of Sub6
500 g of Pixel
750 mg of Silicon Sound
3 spoons of Tryptich
1 and a half glass of Deedrah
4 packs of Wrecked Machines
300 ml of Sesto Sento
and flavored with a bit of Gms style

Well I don't listen to trance (of any kind) in the mornings.... usually I put some jazz on...or something "souly" (<---?...) like for example Jamiroquai.....that wakes me up and gets me going .... |

For me the best sound in the morning is chill out ( Stress Assassin, Orbital Peace and other chill out project...
i like progressive stuff too.
Timetech
A.K.D
Vibrasphere
Atmos
and more...
yeah karnaf - sounds from teh nature/cities is also nice - so much mystic!

psylocybe - I love your morning sound recipe! We have got to get some mexican DJs to come play here in Oregon, USA - you guys seem to get a lot of great artists visiting and lots of good tracks...we need some mexico/brazil inspiration and energy to get things going in the USA!

my sound is not very current...but I like 3 essential parts blended carefully togther for a KILLA morning sound:
1. hard and thrashing - talamasca, oforia
(for teeth gritting,full morning stomp power - feel the sun burning into you)
2. minimal - atmos, son kite, paste, pogo
(to give the fuller hardness some CONTRAST - very important. also melodies don't sound bright without some empty space to stand out after)
3. goadelic- melodic : eskimo, protoculture, tikal
antidote, melica,
(music that gets warm and forces you to smile
and leaves you with a high feeling...the golden quintessence of the goa dusk til dawn ritual !)
I don;t think most morning trance music these days is "fluffy", which suggest the music is thin and lacking in depth and hardness. I went to a club last week, and the House music played was fun and very dancable - but definately "fluffy" and not deep..like sonic cotton candy. |
