best bass line... hmmm
gms - jaws is one of the best for me (although i do not like their present work at all, as you can see elsewhere... this old one roxx)
the most original one, which still kicks: beat bizarre - depth pitch. bassline with a rock feeling... great one.
cheers

I just borrowed some techno CDs from a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful basslines on Ken Ishi - 'Future in Light' album...The rest of the music is kinda videogame cheese although it way more melodic than the tech/trance hybrids that are popular in psy nowadays...
Others with basslines I like:
Weird Alchemy
James Reipas
Rip von Hippie |

talamasaca- in some of his old trecks (come on, armagedon rmx)
gms- rainbow from no rules + all the artists that made similar job (cyber cartl and others)
astrix(life system) and all the other melodic guys (melicia fatali and so) can do it once in a while.
skazi/exaile have a simple and nice bass line
i dont know who is the best. there isnt aqny artist with his pure own bass line. they r all quite similar, dont u think?

Benza - new album on Demon Tea and the most groovy basslines around, was listening last night and as soon as the following dj come on the whole bottom end just seemed to disappear(the next act was a dj playing the usual selection of psy).
Funky, groovy, listen!

Is this some new version or are you talking about the old one?
Bass was the word in the 70-80ths

as far as i know there is no psy remix of donna summer.. though as it happens, the aphid moon tune "disco biscuit" does have that bassline (i assume deliberately).. i was talking about the original.. it don;t need touching by psychedelic imo.
