well i dont support "fuck you" energy in general as its
1) counterproductive
2) probably misdirected (scapegoat etc.)
and its not just one sample. his music features many aggressive and offensive samples and im not your christian school mama trying to be a priss-
but when all the samples are basically harsh aggressive and angry it makes me say "no, fuck YOU asshole" instead of sympathasizing with him and thinking "oh he is probably denouncing the very things that i would denounce in the world. yes i'll join this righteous brother in saying fuck-you to satan and evil and mcdonalds and war"
do you know what i mean?
take it literally for a second.

i mean stop making excuses for this guy already. either get him to defend his samples himself or...
if i hear samples that piss me off and that i dont agree with i stop dancing for sure.
the job of the artist in a trance party is to create a unified liftoff forcefield.
if i want shit thrown at me i'll resurrect G.G. Allen- (if you are too young to remember G.G. Allen then please google this guy)
without respect for trance culture the youth will merely repeat the mistakes of the previous generation
when i came to psychedelic trance it was a reaction away from hardcore, and all the anger- because it was generating more of the same. you want to fight the power? what are you going to use to fight it? power.
back to building things again instead of breaking them!
this music was the only intelligent music in the dance scene at the time. the samples were very vague and generally were there to help move the energy and get people to agree with the sound and go along with it...
("universal mind" for example)
over the years - with this "dark" trance emerging- we have the potential for many new worlds= the old gods of melody and catchy hooks- they are out the window.
when i hear samples like fuck-you and shut-up it makes me sad that the dumbness- the punk anger of youth- always misdirected and always trying to shortcut and blame- is creeping back in...

on the topic of hardcore+trance:

all this "hardcore+trance" is kinda dumb from my viewpoint in that hardcore is hardcore- they already made any kind of music that you could ever want in this direction- for over 10 years this genre has pushed the envelope of destructive sound.
do you really think that skinny little psy trance is BADASS? hahaha... hardcore and gabber eat it for breakfast...but its not nice music, its generally not very intelligent and the vibe is very confrontational in terms of samples etc...
do you really want to go there and call it psy trance?
if so you have a long way to go because you are not hard enough or badass enough.
for that matter go to iraq and wear an american flag and walk down the street if you want confrontation...
or say what you believe on isratrance in the face of "killer" video-game-addled sociopaths  |

hey ocelot, ever thought of that the track can come out of his feelings for something, maybe he was in a certain mood when he made it?
You know, there are actually artists out there who makes music from their soul and feelings and not only with a release in their mind.

well well, I see that itīs an controversial opinion we are dealing with. Music today are produced in various forms by some people who wants to bring a special message to the audience. In this case I would prefer to say that Hishiryo wantīs to give the audience/listeners an experience and a feeling of the reality that we are living in. Packed with samples with shouts that we donīt often hear in the trance scene. I can speak for myself and say that I am tired of all the samples that contains quotes of the words "drugs"(in all itīs forms), "psychedelic", "stoned", "so high" you know the rest. Donīt take the samples as an offending act but as a new concept of music. I donīt take samples too serious and you shouldnīt too.

using samples - people make music - which descriobes wat they feel that moment or wat is gOIn around them.. why does psy have to be robotik only ?!?! hishiryo bro...keep doIn wat u do.. ocelot its cause of 'turn it up' i respect ur stuff.. but man, ur thinkin of only release wise.. and of samples which u never heard.. ive heard recently in some parties - " im clever and ur fucking stoopid" its released/// ye i felt shitty.. but there was something goIn in the mind of the artist when it was made..

ur a perfect example of an artist painting the canvas that is inside of him... your medium is music, & the canvas is your trak..that's why i love your work... FREE EXPRESSION OF SOUND is the basis and the samples just add character...
Here's a good story: i just played Shut Up for someone who had never heard trance. Never - nothing. We were in a restaurant, he listened on my iPod. And you know what? He started giggling hysterically... He LOVED it!! - and now wants to meet you - he'll be with us on 13 October for sure, right in the middle of the dancefloor....
Everybody has their own reaction to music and sound...
So, that is to say - i'm with jigar, dennis and the others::: keep painting for us! ....Don't stop til the brush breaks....

All the tracks are stories or movies for me, if Hishiryo want to put this kind of samples like "fuck you" and not "alien talks" i support him, i imagine the storie and enjoy the music that is very good, for sure he donīt want to offend ppl and you must respect him and his work.....is just very good music with killer stories, if you donīt like this kind of stories, this is another point, but he deserve respect for his good work.

Hishiryo is a good example of psytrance artistic freedom. in morning full on or something you listen to same formula over and over with no variations but in our style we can change it a little, and I like this changes. I like when I listen to a Derango track and I know its derango, some Baphomet track, I know its baphomet , a few can do this. Hish is one of them.. like it or not, its unique.
This is a good thing , regarding sample question Ocelot brought up, well this always existed in many music styles and will always exist, a track is a track , and its different from the other , there s no point arguing about this. but I defend psytrance unique way of making possible to people to express themselves in the ways they want to and how they want to. Of course there's a formula too in dark, but it's a more flexible one.
I put my thumbs up to anyone trying to do good psychedelic music , that has energy and wicked layers. and I also encourage anyone that do music the way they feel like at the moment.. not worried about following a style or getting stuck into some genre. well, since this is a topic about Hishyrio project, Im gonna give an example, he always sends me his tracks and I think they re cool and follow same pattern, then I heard S.A.N and it s cool and break the pattern, cause he felt like breaking it at the time. This is as much important as being free to create one style.
(about the person behind the project I'm not commenting much 'cause it's a topic about music and anyway, he already knows I like him as the big slut he is hahaha )

And whta about the ppl that dont even know what "fuk u" means?? ehehehe come ooonnn ppl, dont be so sensitive or its just because our beloved friend and supporter Cyril is pushing the bounderies?? is this jelousy or what? First is the music, its new level of understanding the psy harmonies and landscapes. deep, mental, high energy new level of PSYCHEDELIC! Be Aware, Hishiryo will come to your town too!

ok. i confess to not liking the story due to the samples.
i am probably not right to direct my criticism of a general mentality towards Hishiryo. I really am speaking to all of you and wondering about the mindsets this symbol (the samples) invokes.
i apologize for any disrespect to Hishiryo on his work and craft. i have heard you play live and you make strong music with new ideas. i am simply turned off in reaction to the samples.
in my opinion trance music is to be played aloud on a large soundsystem out of doors.
releases are a channel of moving the music around and feeding artists who make the music. the music creates a vibration in the world. choose what vibrations you are creating in the world. its what you do. it makes a difference.
