hmmm thats a very difficult question;), i prefer always to listen to djs, that explose and blust my ears with smth "diffrent" that represent the quality and the iq of the dj...(hallucinogen, logic bomb,rinkadink etc)
djs that their songs has a story, a beggining, a middle and end....(menog, esp, etc)
i prefer dirty blusting basses(the delta, midi miliz, deviant species etc).....

generally for all kinds the most important thing is to make you feel or if you already feeling smth strongly to help you express it (certain here we have some people that express their selfs with vandi, but i suppose here we talk about people with a high percent of iq  )
as for trance music one important thing is to keep you concentrate every second in what you hear and keep you in agony what is coming next and when it comes it makes you more and more enthousiastic
in all these the basic part must have your heart and your mind
its like traveling and having your eyes open looking around you suprised and with big enthusiasm
both cases (music or travel) help you to let your self and that is the best sign and part of good music
in few words to put you in a trip
here is an example but for classical music, maybe its a little bit outside for our likes but you can try it
