if you can't dance to chopped and screwed, you should try harder.
Djing is using music to create the desired effect. there is no reason or rhyme outside of what you want to do with it.
honestly, i mix tunes cause no one else spins the kind of music i want to hear, and someone has to do the forest musics around them there parts.

for me. its art. always creating something new and unique. often use virtual strings or omnishpere stuff it worx for my creative processing never had any playlists nor, top 10 must plays, or stuff like that.

To me, psytrance djing is about creating a coherent musical set with seamless transitions that won't interrupt people's trance.
If people is trancing and dancing and you make an awful mix, you're disrupting them, you're failing at your job. |

I think djing is first and foremost about sharing the music that you love with other people, presented in such a way that their enjoyability is maximized (which to me means mixed smoothly, alongside similar tracks, with a generally consistent overall mood to the set as a whole). Maximized enjoyability, to me, means not messing with the track with too much effects or eq'ing, and of course not redlining
