I hear thousands of times people talking about how there are a lot of copy paste full on out there and stuff... but I want to know.. What artists do you think are copy-paste full on? anybody has courage to say here? =)

I think that maybe even this would be something subjective, and that what some people consider copy paste, others would consider great and inovative...

whatever

it is mostly subjective but there are a lot of people that agree that skazi is the leader of the copy-paste trance "movement". i personally enjoy a few of his songs, but i could see how people think that. his songs do seem to sound very similar and have nearly identical basslines, but i still enjoy his tunes.

by the way, this topic has the potential to hurt some artist's feelings. lets try to keep it friendly, shall we?

All Israeli full-on nowadays is copy-paste full-on. Even acts that dare to do something original do it for 1-2 tracks out of 15 they release in the same style. When I say Israeli full-on, this includes all of Spun Records and 99% of the full-on artists from Brazil and Portugal.

Skazi? Start with Alien Project, Astrix and GMS. Acid for Nothing? No, money for nothing, the originals always deserve more credit.

Want a list? It would be much shorter if you asked for original full-on artists. It would be 10 active artists long, tops.

btw, kaz, once I was talking to people about gms being full on copy paste, and what they said was that gms are actually the ones who started this, so they cannot be copy paste as they are the originals, and they are really good djs..

what I said to him was: yeah, maybe you're right.. too bad they only have one track, and they just change the name and release it over and over.. I mean, wtf, every full on compilation has at least 1 track from them

hehehe =)

anyway, Im sure they're not bad people, and I guess they like what they do.. too bad I dont enjoy they're music, but whatever

there are a lot of full-on copy-pasters. im sure it was fun when it was new, but its just getting old. dont mistake what im saying, i love full-on. its just that there are a lot of artists who need to take a step back and realize that what they are releasing has been done 100s of times before.

i agree kaz, spun has been spewing out the copy-paste trance for quite some time. and its scary that artists are scared to do an entire original album. they are obviously trying to stay in a a"safe zone" to ensure some sales.

their own formula? thats part of the problem. it's not even their own, its the same as a lot of other artists.

youre right, its no use getting buggered over these guys.

I'd say that the originator would be Dado. And everybody including GMS started to copy from him.
You want original Full on artists?
Pixel, Domestic, Intellabeam, Prometheus (Don't flame me for this one, i consider him being more full on than progressive), Scorb and the older Sub6 material. Sub6 still rock imho but in more formulaic kinda way           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

I agree with kaz that the list for original full on will be shorther. one original is tikal.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

And you wanna tell me there's no copy paste prog, no copy paste dark?
Crap. That's just because it's so in style to bash fullon nowadays. So people look only for the bad sides of fullon.

in defense of spun rec. they just signed hujaboy which is a far cry from any copy paste music.

watch out for his track on their next compilation... not your average everyday music.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
