You think if there was some progress it would have been hidden for almost 15 months now ?
No news from the lazy isra team means its off ?!

The original thread was bumped a few times over the months but no one from the Isratrance team responded after the initial "be patient" reply. Too bad if it is off. It had a lot of potential.

Let's face it. Downbeat/Chill-out on isratrance is not as popular as Full-on

It was irony

But it's obvious the interest is limited contra the interest they had for the previous Istatrance release with commercial psytrance.

The last isratrance-release also took a LONG time to complete behind the scenes from the initial idea to the final (free) product. Also; saying it was commercial is a bit over the top in my opinion. The thoughts behind the compilation was to reflect the diversity of the forum, and therefore encompass as much different sub-genres as possible, and I think it did just that. Yes, it had two full on tracks, but the rest was oldschool progressive trance, goatrance, minimal, dark psy, progressive trance and even one chill-track.

I don't have anything to do with the chillout-project, but I'm sure any help concerning hosting, graphics, mastering etc. from you guys is appreciated.

OK, what happened was that Trip, who took it upon him to compile this, didn't really get response from too many producers. The tracks that he did get sent to him, he didn't connect to, and so really couldn't do much with this.

Now, I probably could have done this myself with better success, at least in terms of getting "big" names to participate. However, as someone who owns a downtempo label myself, this will put me in a strong conflict of interests.

So, I must say, I don't really know if this can happen.

after a bit of searching i found the original thread:
http://forum.isratrance.com/sticky-chillout-isratrance-compilation-is-on-the-way-mp3-submissions-are-welcome/

i'd say this is bad sport and lack of respect from trip towards many people who were anxiously awaiting the comopilation and towards many artists who actually submitted tracks for a FREE compilation.
why didn't he atleast inform everybody concerned that it isn't happening with a small post in the thread? that would've been decent and end of story.

and your reply, shahar, is a bit foul too. not enough big names for a comp? what does it matter when it's a FREEWARE comp and it should give a broad picture of the MEMBERS OF THE ISRATRANCE COMMUNITY? yeah, bluetech, ott and shulman have visited this site a couple of times but what about those who hang here more regulary like distant system, a.rosengren/solid snake, kukan-dub-lagan, krusseldorf, lauge, xerxes, bent intent etc. who were all ready to share a tune with the community? a lack in "not big enough" names as members but perhaps an abundance in big enough egos administrating the site? pfff. where's the spirit? nothing lasts but something got lost too...
