thank u yuli.
Chromozontal, dude,
learn the meaning of the word respect.

--------------------------------------------

Respect (Page: 1227 from the Webster Dictionary.)
Re*spect", n. [L. respectus: cf. F. respect. See Respect, v., and cf. Respite.]

1. The act of noticing with attention; the giving particular consideration to; hence, care; caution.

But he it well did ward with wise respect. Spenser.
2. Esteem; regard; consideration; honor.

Seen without awe, and served without respect. Prior.
The same men treat the Lord's Day with as little respect. R. Nelson.
3. pl. An expression of respect of deference; regards; as, to send one's respects to another.

4. Reputation; repute. [Obs.]

Many of the best respect in Rome. Shak.
5. Relation; reference; regard.

They believed but one Supreme Deity, which, with respect to the various benefits men received from him, had several titles. Tillotson.
4. Particular; point regarded; point of view; as, in this respect; in any respect; in all respects.

Everything which is imperfect, as the world must be acknowledged in many respects. Tillotson.
In one respect I'll be thy assistant. Shak.
7. Consideration; motive; interest. [Obs.] Whatever secret respects were likely to move them." Hooker.

To the publik good Private respects must yield. Milton.

--------------------------------------------

Chromozontal,

First, now it seems you wanna have a conversation and that is a very good step forward.

There are few things in your examples that I have problems with... You give example of Picasso and Simon Posford ( in the electronic scene maybe Aphex Twin is 'like' Picasso, but I guess Simon for trance can fit the role ) both of these great artists made NEW inventions in art and moved the borders forward. There are only very few of these and to give them as example is just not right... They are still one level above... no?

Every artist starts somewhere... Sometimes there are extraordinaire talents that appear and immediately cought in the center of the scene.. but that rarely happens in EVERY scene you would take, and usually it takes time, a lot of work, study and money investment to make proper progress and go all the way forward to highest levels.

Finally, I think there are very good and talented artists in Israel, that create unique sound and definitely don't follow no one.. There are also artists that work more on 'formula' style tracks, which is also ALL RIGHT, there are heeps of very well known europeans that do the same - again - I wont mention any.

So... what is basically left for us.. is to choose what we LIKE and stick to that till we find other things that we like and so on... All other things don't really matter cause it's again - matter of taste..

Take it easy           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

I actually want to argue about generalizing Israeli trance. Labeling Astrix, Astral Projection, Pixel and Hujaboy as "Israeli Trance" is true, they all come from Israel. Do they have the same style?           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Well Chromozontal,
I had the chance to sit in with some of those new Israeli artists and watch how they make their music, how they talk about it, what it is for them.
And I can tell you it's art for a lot of them, and love and a lot of feelings.

As for the music itself- I'm no musician and never learned music really, but I've been listening mate, for a long long time and to A LOT of music of different styles, times, and energy. And I hear a lot of good interesting things coming around here.

"the only thing constant in life is change!"

hell rock music took abt 20 years to get accepted mainstream before it went on to 'rock' the world.... and what abt the pioneers of Psy and Goa ? they were cutting up bits of tapes and making thier own 'mix'

its come a long... long way since then.

The beauty of israeli psy /goa is that it can be produced with the help of computers and relatively less $ equipment... and more and more people will start exploring this in the coming years.... and producing many different styles of music... after all it is a form of expression! the genres are evolving every day!!

getting back on topic...... i must say Israeli is da stuff!!!!! yes there might be incorporating of ambient/morning music a lot more now... but hey it kicks ass!!!!!!

after an intense night of some heavy PSY as the sun rises and you can see tha faces of freaks that were whizzin past u at night a nice uplifting tune really does wonders for the vibe:)

sorry if im ramblin !!!!!!

plur +stay safe.
