and my question to his is:
what do you think happend that made people stop creating this music? |

I don't really understand why they call goa-trance after all!
For me it's psychedelic trance, or if you prefer, old-skool psychedelic trance.
Goa is just a place in India, not a style of music...
 Don't hope 2 much 4 something cause u may end up getting it... |

ppl are those who stopped ppl from creating this music. I don't think it evolved at all - it just stopped evolving abruptly.

It is not a stagnation , just scene develops in quantity and not variety which is also a progress . In couple of years there will be so much artists so they will need to change things to get signed . |

i wont call the music created these days more evolved than music that created 6-7 years ago.
if it evolved tell me please why most of full on track's sounds prety much the same? alot of people think that way.
where all the melodies? evolving from melodies is making music without melodies?
tee me please where you see this evolving? |

Maybe you just don't see things like newbie trance listener see . I understand you well , i listen to this music for 8 years but it is different from one it was years ago so it's evolving .
Many fullon , dark , progressive acts sound the same because there are too many and most of them not creative enough to produce la la la .
If i will continue to answer why this scene sound that's way i've be kicked once again . BTW it won't change anything because i will be back soon and music will stay the same .
Start to produce more creative music . |

Stagnation/stagnant : Not moving or flowing; motionless.
Evolution : A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form.
Devolution : A passing down or descent through successive stages of time or a process.
I don´t think you can call it stagnation according to this.
But imo you can´t really call it evolution either.
Maybe rather devolution?

Here it goes....I am a goan,born and raised,I have lived there all my life and just moved out in 1999.I must say that Goa has beautiful landscapes and the culture is very hospitable{NOT THE COPS}.Goatrance evolved in the early 90's,WHY GOA?..because of its culture that was librel to all those who came to goa,The west was welcomed as goa had a history of portugese rule,so artist and inthusiasts found goa a haven of their dreams.GOOD WEATHER,CHEAP HOLIDAY and not manyrules to follow.The goan culture incorporated trance much before the 90"s i would say that it goes back to the early 19th century and it is still present today.During carnival,as per tradition manny to most of the locals have a procession were a group of drummers gather at a certain point and go drumming throught the village and people upon hearing the beat would join them with their personal drums(if they had them)trancing to the rythm enroute to the mountains where all gathered at a specific point and grooved to the rythm remembering their ancessestors,I have also seen and known of a lot of shamans in goa {those who practice shamanism }..So based on these facts i would consider goa to be a psychedelic/spiritual destination...lots of mystical energy in the land.And anyone to be influnced by this place would definately be affected by its forces...thus giving birth to goa trance..yes it still exists but it has definately evolved .It has a diffrent body but the soul is the same..{it all exists somewhere deep within} BOOM!!! |
