what do you think about my idea? making some festival for good purpose (peace in the middle east).

hallo dear ppl and ravers!
i need your advice, for macking a big festival some where in the middle east area (turky? israel? jorden? Cyprus? or could be Egypt?)
i wont to do that not for money macking , not for any financial matters..
the purpose of this event is to make healthy dialog between our generation, the tribe ppl witch comes from countries that don't have diplomatic relationship, to know eath athers, like trace ppl from arab countries, and israelies and Earopien ppl..
once you have good time with ppl, you get to know them, we see that we all have same simpole desires, ambitions, and we all desire to live with peace and respect, and this come only with knowing one each other, spending time, and having fun, such as a good festival with a lot of good music..
my plan is to make festival with artist that come from middle east countries togather with earopiens superstarts, and i know meny good artist come from jorden, dubai, egpht, even suria, lebanon..
this can be a really good thing for us, the young ppl that in contradiction to the old ganertion would like to make peace with our neighbors using trance tribe to be united against WAR and RACISM and radicalism!!
i think about donate all the profit from this festival to make education to peace and unity respect, in elementy schools in middle east (isael, palastine offority, jorden, eghpt and such..)
my question to you is:
1. do you thing it's a good idea? for a good purpes?
2. do you like to take part in this event?
3. witch place do you think is the best to that? ((turky? israel? jorden? Cyprus? egpht?)

being an idealist, i like it a lot.
but being aware of being an idealist, i guess it's a rather delicate issue, and hard work when dealing with the authorities about it.
also, i'm not so sure if the new generation is so much different from the elder regarding these issues. the differencies of cultures and the difficulties in interreligious discourse have spread anywhere, also in trance tribe.

the only thing that can stop this project is apathetic ppl who don't care about thire surroundings.. 
i say trance ppl can do things..
we have the power to change the ugly things that going on in today news.. 
take action, don't be PARVE

"trance people" are no fuck different and in no way better and less apathetic than anybody else i'm afraid.
it's sad indeed, but three quarter the world is apathetic and doesn't care for surroundings. that's why i wrote the above you quoted.

quite right anak,,, pisses me off too when ppl. proudly claim that they're from the "psychedelic community" ..watever that means 
outdoor, definitely a good idea...but the rest of middle east will not be able to join if iz hosted in israel...remember,,,travel regulations...
probably a neutral place...egypt seems 2 be good at negotiations...

i think its impossible
1.political reasons
2. psy party ppl dont like "strange faces" in their parties(read the party reviews section)

Good ideas outdoor79, but my advice for you is to make something "smaller" for the first step, and then if this reunions start running fine, you make a bigger festival.
Try to do some "reunions" in one of this countrys with invited crews from the neighboor countrys as well.
Do something visionary, and not commercial.
If you will do something BIG, you will have only rich ppl, because i suppose that the conditions are not the same for a palestinian and for an israeli or for a lebanese...it was an example.
You have to do it in a place that can be good for both parts.
Its very difficult to make something like this, but its possible and innovative.
But one more time, try something smaller, with some groups of ppl from the other neighboor countrys.
People that want to talk about middle east cultures etc etc.
I will say that this kind of encounters already exists in israel with ppl from neighboor countrys, but in small scale and without trance music...
I think they have important and influent people at their reunions like well known musicians, writters, philosoffers etc...and they get different places to do those reunions, and there they discuss about lot of things, and everything in a peacefull sense.

It would be great to see something like this happen. It would take time to prepare, and maybe should include the entire global scene...... something like earthdance. Maybe not limit it to the middle east (we are in the middle of world war III after all, although the governments and their medias hide it well).
and yes, there is something different about our 'global community'. It's not trying to say that we're somehow better, or any less destructive to the planet (even if some try to be kinder)...... but there is a fact that there are more people in this community that care about things, than in other sectors of society (say, for example, the red-neck community of god-fearing country bumpkins, of podunk USA). I read on the 2007 cover of Trancers Guide to the Galaxy, the words 'Trance Culture Embraces Alternative Culture'......... this would be different factions of one culture, no? No, not any better than anyone other group, but there are more of us that care about something outside our own reality than in most of the groups of peeps I've seen anywhere.
Psytrance was not the beginning of this community, it's only one form of the current trend....... Shiva statues are not just for decoration.
