What do trance websites miss?

I'm asking you this question because i'm currently rebuilding out pet project " www.psygarden.be ". we did a small investment in a dedicated server that offers us a lot more possibilities than what we are currently featuring on our website.

So therefore i wonder what you people still need online? what feature would you consider usefull and have a hard time finding on the existing sites?

the main new feature that we are working on now is a mp3.com like structure, a centralised place for any beginning psytrance producer that has a hard time finding adequate storage for their tracks and wants his or her music to be heard by the masses.

another possibilty is an account based world wide party-picture gallery. So no more slow photo-print albums in incomprehensable languages.

all suggestions will be taken seriously, anything we can do to make your online stay more enjoyable: just name it!

Cd reviews section are always great to have.

I like interviews as well rather than just profile

I think shop and online shops review would be great to for public to fill in. Saves us the trouble next time as we know which is better to shop at. All i have seen is just links to shops but no comments.

Make the site simple I guess, make it easy for others to surf. I know its great to have all this flash up but a lot are on modem (i am not, just my view). Often they wait too long for something to pop up.

Hardware review? For those making music and dj equipment. That would nice i guess

Articles on issues on psytrance (downloading? lol )

Good luck rik! Hope suggestions helps u

Zooter: I have no intention of competing with any forum, specially not isratrance. hence simply taking over their features is a big no-no. The forum on psygarden will cover only belgium. I am looking for new ideas, things you people can come up with that you would find usefull online.

Chobo: I like the equipment review section as a part of the upcoming news items, but this would mean i need article writers with enough of this "new" equipment in their possession. let's see if we can work this out!

the site will be fast and functional, no animations that take long to download and the content management system we're installing is one of the fastest i've seen so far.
Interviews are easy to put online, but i would need interviewers that know what to ask, with a large musical background. Surely this will be covered on the future site! but we will be looking for guest submissions!

what other interactive features would you like?

something else we had on our minds for some time:
- we have the static art gallery already, with visitor feedback possibilities. We want to expand this section for people that create psychedelic projections, including video samples of their work.

rik: you can always ask the artist what they are using currently and ask for feedback , it does save the trouble of writing up.

And also make a irc channel for us based on the website, i think that would be great Would be a nice chat room [only if possible hehe], would be nice if isratrance users can gather around and chit chat and talk smack

hi ShivaS, well true..ok not for cds hehe but like in "Question of the Week" sort of thing related to psy.

Shop Reviews : your experience in shops online and offline. Is service good? Delivery? Friendly? Price? Like whats good and bad about it. Might be good, well i havent tried other online shops yet (so far, saikosounds, trance-shop ,psyshop, x-radio[dead], israelism [dead]). Its good for the buyers to know.

Would be nice to have a list of recommended psyshops as well in other countries and addresses on how to get there.
