hmmmm.... I think that both have their good and bad things....
Firstly, all the parties, in my point of view, are been done to generate some money, am I wrong? But okay, I understand your post :

Comercial:

-> Sometimes (there is some good exceptions, but, sadly the exception can't proves the rule) the party can be organized by people who don't have any relation with electronic music and their feeling. They are just thinking in money and in the newspaper's pics. In a comercial party you can see a lot of non-related people too, but again, sometmes this can be a exception and this ppl can keep the vibe in a highest top.
Comercial parties can have a superb line up (eg. Skol Beats) with a great structure.

Non comercial:

-> More friendly. Sometimes can be a f* nice good party, but sometimes can be a f* blah nonono too . More vibe? hmmm, it depends. But okay, you won't see a lot of 'posers' and the scene will survive. This "underground" feeling is necessary to the maintenance of it.

.... hey, we can choose! ZAP!

Hugz!

I like parties that have something to offer, somekind of identity, something original. For me, comercialism is taking a model and recreate it time after time, and at the end, making always the same thing.

If some organizer come and make a hell of a party, and have the guts to be revolutionary, what's the matter if he's suported by some big company?

Earlier this year, Red Bull promoted a techno party in a place in from of Fnac, near Av. Rebouças here in Sao Paulo. It was amazing! in the middle of the afternoon, some huge names like Murphy and the italian Gaetano Parisio, playing for whoever were there . Their set-up was amazing, their pick-ups were built on the top of a Red Bull's Hammer truck. There were 8 PAs, and Vodka + Reb Bull at R$4,00! That was comercial? For sure it was, but at the same time, the best techno being played for free in the middle a sunny wednesdey afternoon rocked big time!

Anyway, my point is: Comercialism is not the same as something that sucks, and non comercial is not the same as the greatest vibe ever in whole world. Each party is one, but the best are those that you can say that are one of a kind!
