more specific to the israeli dj's here( tal, borris, shanti, leo, atom, and ?:)
i ask because i am sure you guys are not playing the regular israeli stuff in your mornings(infected, astral, cali sunshine etc)
and from your tops 10's its all the heavy stuff mostly, so where is the morning lines ppl?
i know its kind of a silly thing now to pigeon hole morning and nite music as nite music can go in the morning as well (but not the other way round.)
Tomorrow if i played a set from 5am to 8am of only israeli stuff it would be -
Lish - Under Wicked Sky
Soul Pitcher - One way ticket, it aint't over.
analog pussy - their new stuff (yes i like a
              techno morning !)
Psysex - survival kit (old i know but still...)

cant think of more, i'm talking about stuff with a airy progressive feel and subtle melodic lines not rising melodies.
but nevermind that , what do u guys play, and what is the israeli morning sound today?

bom,
Chaitu

I just thought about this and I will play only what I like (I'm a night man), so I guess the line will be somewhere around funky-groovy-duby techno-trance (Tranan, Lish, Quirk, Atmos), and also some crazy finnish stuff (PelinPala, OutoLintu, HPW) for the acid-heads.

I'm no full-on expert, but if I need to get violent I guess I'll stick with Alien Project, Bamboo Forest, Bitmonx, Green Nuns or Necton.

hope this helps...

One second thought - it depends. But no stupid karahana.

but tomer...
if you are playing a set for two hours... you have packed about 30 records.... and the dj before you plays this kind of stuff, so as you have said you decied to play different material...
you are then screwed coz youve only got a limited selection of material, my friend.

the moral therefore is... either predict what the other dj is playing and pack a very carfeully chosen selection of records... or take 5 times as many records as you will actualyl need.

hard life as a dj, no?

her majesty, if a dj brings only 30 records to a set then he's already screwed...
That's why we use CDs, which can be packed into a very comfortable case (containing 80 CDs, which unlike vinils contain 8-9 tracks per CD instead of 2-3 for a vinil).

moreso, a DJ should be able to play several styles and be ready for different crowds, 'cause you never know what to expect.

Lucky for me? Maybe so, but you know, I'm still thinking of a crowd which would totally enjoy my set... Almost everyone likes full on, what should I do? But it's reaaly hard for me to play the music that is not interesting to me...
