Yes Maine Coon, your two entries are relevant to this discussion. The question wasn't trance genre specific, so yes its been 35 years for me as well. For example the term psytrance is just one of the most recent terms used to describe a small piece of the trance pie. Its been updated several times since the late 90's for those who follow the evolution of its changing style. Before Goa Trance it was called acid along with many other genre names.. The Doctor Who theme from 1963 is a form of trance and we can go even further back in time than that. Then lets not forget about the non electronic trance but phonautograph wasn't invented until the mid 1800's which makes it a bit difficult to review our trance history in the format it was created before then, making our current notions of music infantile. |

I think in winter 94 I got a cassette that I still got! This was my first contact with goa music. The long cbd samadhis and wide opening my mind with a little help from my bong were creating new worlds in me at that time. Tha first party was an expirience of course
