I generally don't care for this genre as it is soooo full of cheasy mainstream tacky lame ego bs, specially in the US. But every now and then I hear some tracks that have some nice music with an underground feel and I wish I knew who the artist and track was.

I have heard a few good tracks from 2pac (though most of his stuff I honestly find very cheesy and kind of full of itself), a few from Wutan klan and of course I am not sure if it qualifies but I totally like Cypress Hill. besides that I am pretty much lost.

So any recomendations? Please keep it underground (like no cheesy tacky souless comercial ego cock sucking BS). And it doesn't have to be strictly hip hop, if it sounds sort of like it it is fine too.

Also if you have any specific tracks or albums you want to recommend, it would be good to know. (not just naming the artist)

And Kin Beat.. wow thanks bro, awesome stuff. Inmortal Technique is pretty awesome and they seem to be really into the conspiracy theories. The other suggestions are also great and I am enjoying them and exploring them very much. THANKS!!! muy chido

hi-Report from Greece

I dont know if it's close to what u define as HH or rap sound but
a greek team got seperated from the movement back in the 90's and created a new subgenre called
LOW BAP
I am not much into that stuff because I find it too melancholic for my taste but perhaps u'll find something that fits u there
link : http://www.lowbap.com/english/

The real killers from the Athenian underground used to be Terror X crue but now they split but their music is considered classic
link : http://www.myspace.com/terror_x_crew

Finally the kings of Greek and mostly Athenian scene were and are the Band FFC ( Fortified concept )

Wish u knew greek in order to feel what they say
and for the record they were they first brought up the GAnja issue at the local scene without the illusion that they live at the Ghettos of Bronx!
Also they have done an excellent artistic side project called Harmolipi ,combining traditional greek music and Hip hop elements
Link : http://www.myspace.com/fortifiedconceptffc

Finally there are some dudes who are indeed genuine they are indeed talented and clever but its hard to understand the concept if u are not a greek dude
they call themselves HMIZ and this is how they sound like :

SkyRider!

As he says on his myspace: psychedelic/bluegrass/hiphop.
It's very instrumental stuff and very psychedelic, I love it!

I disovered SkyRider this summer when I made a 4 hour drive to a festival alone and only had a tape player in the car and 1 SkyRider tape, so I listened to it for 8 hours and it was such a beautiful drive.

Buck 65, Gorillaz (although not all of it is as rap oriented), and Dangerdoom are also pretty creative. Anything involving Dan the Automator, especially Lovage, although it's more like trip hop.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?
