the thing im worried about is this:
there are really few dj's that play cosma music at parties and festivals...
his music is really good and gets better thorugh the years. but again, no one plays his music anymore, that's why i think should come out new rmx that remind some people to play his music...

youre right his music isn't full-on, but not everyone in israel making full-on, i know this is crap it's like the NIZHONOT from old time trance... but still there is great artists in israel that not making full-on... |

i agree with you my friend,someone should make a rmx our several rmxs from tracks of Cosma,to make a tribute to this great artist,but is my opinion...

Cosma can be hard to mix  DJs like it easy.
I play Cosma in my sets!
And if there are any remixes made, I would hope that they DON'T go in the direction of becoming DJ fodder. Hand the files off to Ott, BLT, 12 Moons, Koxbox, Prometheus, and artists of this calibre. I hope they one day make art to remember Avihen by!

as far as i know this rmx are:
Out of range (son kite mix)
The Time has come (astral projection rmx)
Cusanama(Black And White mix)
People On hold (psysex rmx)
but yes i also find it very sad that no one play cosma anymore..specially from the first album:S |

I think we should continue to remix Avihen's music, to make him always part of us! There are many pro's and con's for remixing dead artist but surely it will keep his name for long time which i think the way he wanted, to be remembered as producer! |

Cosma is one of my very favourite atrists ever but ti be honest I don't thing it's a very good idea to remix his tracks as most probably these will end end commercial so we'd better leave cosma's music as it is.
About a year ago for example there was a new realease by cosma!!!!!(New?)meaning that most probably some friends of his found this track saved in cosma's pc and released it.
The problem is that even though the usual groove and the magnificent lines are excellent as usual there is a particular break which is also used as an intro which can't have been produced by Cosma!!!!It reminds me of Gladiators and I hate it so I would think that someone found the background of this track and then created this very annoying break.
Let us remember Cosma as he was. |
