Where were you guys on friday night? If you weren't at club Avalon watching Hallucinogen then you were in the wrong place! He truley is the KING of goa! And after six long years its nice to have him back! Nice setup VJ LOVE Mushroom...it was the s@#T.
also Simon will be spinning with Raja Ram on October 31.

incredible, what a session of twisted psychedelic trance we were exposed to last night.
believe it or not i m at work right now, had barely 3 hrs of sleep and just bought my online tickets for the ranch tonite see ya there!

wish i knew that before i said i will work monday and tuesday....o well with hallucinogen and then the freak show....im good for a while.
too bad i have to miss sphongle-- this has to be the best thing to happen to LA in a long time. |

Wow! just when you thought it couldn't get any better. Friday, a amazing party at the Avalon of all places. Saturday, another beautiful ranch party and then Monday Shpongle. What a super cool place (for a hollywood rock bar) Such energy on the dance floor to shpongle. He truly is the king!
Oh and I never have seen Anti before but he is one of the best DJs I think I have seen mixing. Cool progressive stuff!!

I was looking forward to some nice progressive from Anti but with his first track the odd placement of the kick turned me off (was that a house beat?) so we left.
Last time I was at Dragonfly was to see LA's best new band, Mother Tongue, over 10 years ago. Seems like the same locals haven't left their bar stools since then. Simon played the Shpongle hits and um, don't know what else to say other than he should have played somewhere else. hmmm... the chill area at Psytribe's Freakshow. Anyway, looked like some people were enjoying it. I know I had as much fun as I could given the circumstances.
Just want to make a comment.
I understand completely Simon has a high price which requires a lucrative venue, but in addition to having to see him at these kinds of clubs is the fact that he is shielded from getting to know the LA scene here and meeting the very special people who are behind it. That's kind of too bad.
I think it would have been nice if he was invited to the Ranch that weekend.

Rich thanx for bringing this point here, i was wonder what the heck was Simon doing on a saturday night in LA?
it could be just me but this is the second time something like this happend in LA, i remember the night we had astral projection @ avalon and the very same night was the psytribe anniversary in the deepest part of myself i thought that astral would be heading up to the ranch for such a especial event but without telling everybody you know like a special guest or whatever. but honestly i dont know why it doesn't happend i think Rich that is very true, and sad if you think that Simon could've actually meet and interact with the real Southern California trance ecene. now who knows if we will be able to having him back any time soon.....

I know a few people who spoke to him after his set at the Avalon... who invited him to the Freakshow, and even offered to give him a ride there if necessary.
It appears he declined.

i corroborate that.
he's been invited in the best way.
i guess he's had enough of great great parties in his life. so he was just enjoying his time in hollywood and stuff.
