It is indeed my answer to :: :: :: post but i wasnt trying to degrade anyone there but like we say in our country 'opios exei tin miga migiazete'.

And please save your comments about me being a label manager and a promoter. It was you after all who contacted me in the first place to book artists for your events, not me.Just learn and respect some things before you speak next time.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

detox, your arrogant "i know what really goes down" attitude is pathetic, typical hillbilly ..if u know what i mean...how do you know everything man?

its obvious, i think to everyone in this forum, that you dont like some ppl, and you take out your anger out on them, by insulting their english comprehension and skills, or whatever you can step on according to the conversation. you are a very negative person. even the tone and overall impression of your posts, shout out your negativity. i dont know u, i dont know timxtreme, but i can tell a sore looser when i see one...

i just thought its cool that two ppl from our country are playing in fests abroad, and for sure they have the respect they deserve like many other djs in the country, even if it is a professional deal. And at the end, come to think of it, maybe more respect is needed when it comes to professional deals of this sort....and maybe many ppl have not earned it yet, over the years.

the point of my post was that respect is earned and not demanded, and i backed it up with examples. so, if i am so off topic, i guess so are the others that posted prior to me...but for some reason my post pissed you of more....xmmmm

i mean this one reason why there is no respect for greek djs in their homeland and only abroad, bcs of ppl like u, ppl who had the chance to do it the right way, but didnt in the end, and now all you do is bla bla bla...blaber on....how many greek djs did you ever book for your parties that did not serve on of your causes? i dont want u to answer me, just ask your self, maybe youre not that diffrent than the ppl that you cut down on...anyway

you "attacked" me just bcs i mentioned their names, with the "off topic attitude of an x-moderator" .... no offence taken of course because im not a stuck up person...but chill man.
cheers to all

I wouldn't think that u can get away with "end of discussion" and "feel free to pm me" anymore.
For the solid reason that u r not a moderator in the hellenic section anymore... and as u have mentioned before, u are too busy these days so u gave up the greek section as well as because of how people treated u here... well put the 2 together and try to figuer it out...if u can't u'll never will...
and if it is better to be an X moderator than being a forever one... then PLEASE be it...
for many of us....... u have always been X

nobody likes to work that often........
and docking boats at the port of athens is not what l call groovy.... or did u say goofy?           ***********************************

i would say that over the years greek dj have been earning lots of respect in and out of the country / i would say that lots of greek djs started at the same time with other nations ,over the years the people that earned there respect was for organising parties doing private and none private events ,helping this music we love and have following for a long time/i one point all stoped . the music still goes on but the mind doeset go with it . 4 years ago i came buck from cyprus being gone for 6 years . last person holding the sceene was nikos and when i came buck there were lots of new promotors which was great , but when i started going buck to the parties every one was fighting about know reason just stupit gosip, which has destroyed the sceene , and sorry my friend pan but i dont know you but giving peoples private thinks about there lifes is not some thing you should do in a forum ,its not nice because people start blabing about that persons life and its wrong . i am not a lawyer but this thing with the forum has gone to much. some people express them selfs in there ways which some thimes its good and bad .i wouldsay the moderators would have to erase enything personal about someone . if people have something personal they can say in front of each other but not in front of everyone .tomorrow rumers will start and shits will break lose again , so try to keep the parties for the music and the good feeling ,no more war /

Hey guys..my opinion...
I don' t think that respect is gained....
from my 9 years experience to the greek scene i think that all this situation is a matter of public relationships!! if you're a dj or organiser & booking some artists from outside Greece & u have a collaboration-then it's normal to go outside Greece for a gig..(= i book you-you book me)it's simple!!
With non public relationships nobody can't earned nothing at all!! for some dj's this is fair but for few isn't..
Thanks

To stiv sai
You are right in half of your thoughts (in our opinion) The point is that promoters and managers should not only care to promote some specific djs or artists. (some days ago 1 promoter from israel requested from us info about The Greek project heliotrope) .As promoters we were happy that ppl outside Greece are interested in booking Greek artists (note that we don't even knew personaly George who is behind this project) So that doesn't mean that this deal is a (i book you ,you book me matter)
Same goes for absolut zero.Ppl from switzerland were here at an E.M. event, listened to his set they liked it and, there he goes abroad for an international festival.
Same goes for timxtreme, and the same will happen with every Greek dj producer as far as it is within our strength to promote him.

That doesn't make this promotion (i book you ,you book me) situation. It has to do with good relationship (and this is where you are right),but, foreign organisers actualy , realy care about good artists rather than deals like (i bok you,you book me) they don't need this anyway...And of course we are talking about organisers that actualy organise big and massive events.

i think most of you make a huge mistake here. you 'measure' the value of respect through things such as number of bookings, money earned etc. i say you are wrong... sure, public relations can get you more bookings but IMO that has nothing to do with respect.

respect (at least for me) is connected with more important matters in life, the 'personal values' each one of us has: how honest, kind, just, true etc each one of us is. both in terms of relationships with others and in our jobs. you respect someone for his ideas and ideals, for the things he can offer, for the efforts he is putting down, etc. you get the point.. in the end, you respect someone for the person he is and not for the money he has, or for the position he holds in the "society levels".

i went as off-topic as it could go, but i had to write these. as for the topic, i believe it should be "We greek djs don't get many bookings in their homeland", cos i believe that's the problem. you can get all the respect by being a good dj and person, and you can get a lot of bookings by having many friends (P.R.) but cannot even beatmatch. stop and think which category you fall into.

and at the end of the day, ask yourselves: do i do anything to deserve any respect? if not, start doing it!!!.................. (i should know, at least i am trying).

have a nice day           .
Respect is earned, not demanded...

I'm going to partys for about 7 years,
in my first 2 years(1998-2000) here in my city was about 4-5 resident dj's Doc,Lory,TimXtreme,Simon Richard and Leoni,at the next years show up dj Kulu,Gio Red,Peter Zen,Giotis e and some more,
from all this dj's other turned top progressive and techno and other keep the spirit of full on psychedelic trance alive,
in the present Doc,TimXtreme,Lory,Kulu still playing in the partys and offcource new talents show up like Absolut Zero,Orphic,MiniMental,Angelo(mendalab),Diagnosis,Psytoto and many more,

i just can understand the meaning of this topic, what exactly do you want man???

I dont agree with many things in this post but i would like to say that eveytime which was parties with local djs only, the parties was empty! Why ?

I think because ppl saw many times local "djs" which they dont have nothing to do with djing and mixing and promoters prefer to book the cheepest djs (many times for free) just to fill the flyer and to have someone to make their job with the less cost.

I'm long time dj (Sahedelic be more informed) and for a big period i stopped playing in Greece cause of that! Abroad of Greece i received more respect ,promoters and ppl are showing that to me everytime i play for second or more times somewhere.

Ppl must recognize who is a dj and who is not and to support them even if the dj is local!
