By the way in which you pose your questions it seems that you doubt our psychedelic intention in Joburg. However, this does not alarm me as you've probably never graced our dancefloors with your presence. So you have no footing to even begin throwing your weight around. If I am mistaken then you're just infected with a healthy dose of "mountain fever".
I feel "hard dark psy" describes the following, labels aside: "Hard" is in reference to speed, in this case, anything from 146 - 152 bpm, and progression of percussion including kick. "Dark" describes the general tone or attitude in the sound of the track, generally more creepy and without melody where careful attention is paid to effects and structure, if melody is present it is often more somber, written in a minor, with notes descending through a movement. "psy", well, gosh, anything besides "pop trance" like you said, psychedelic means psycho-sensory sounds.
I'm sure you could have drawn these answers just as easily yourself. Clearly indicating that your tone is one of a mocking cretin.

i think u took my comment the wrong way...
wat i was tryin 2 say is, is there realy "dark psy" in joburg..i went 2 a few partys in cape town were it said on the flyer dark psychedelic, or evil overlords (timecode story..)in this case!
nd i wasnt askin for a description of wat the words mean 2 u...i was askin which artists u knw as dark psy artists!! |

i heard some of the stuff that the joburg folks play...
when they came down here and played at Organifix a few months ago.
Really cool tunes... pretty progressive... extremely psychedelic and very groovy..
I can't say for sure if this is the only kinda stuff that you guys are playing up-country.. but if it is...... then you're rocking it!
