Hello everyone, thank you for looking at my post...!!!
I was a psytrance artist a few years ago until I moved to the USA, played with several artists like Infected, Yahel, 1200 Mics, GMS, Hallucinogen etc in Brazil, MX & Spain but got disconnected after getting to the USA because there is no psytrance here!!! And people either don't really know the music or don't know what its all about.
Some people might still find a post that still lives here for producers on how to create a KICK - which infected took off their site and still lives through my link.
Point is... I want to make other people feel the same way when they arrive at a remote & distant location from home, only to arrive to an awesome concert in the middle of nowhere where they can feel the music and vibes with hundreds of people, and appreciate it for hours!
Please HELP!
I recently registered a website called www.StereoVibes.com and don't know what to do with it, IT IS NOT FOR PROFIT! I want people to help organize parties in places where psy isn't known.
Anyone wants to help? Please don't think you'll $$ from this. That is not the point.

There's psytrance in the USA. There are scenes on both coasts and in the midwest. Check the north american section of the forum. |

There is none in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire or any of the northern states really. I'm not talking about bringing warehouse parties to the US but real raves... |

Actually, there are none really... sorry to differ... Full Moon in Germany, Acafest in Mexico, etc VS a "rave" in the US??? |

That thread should give you some more understanding of what's happening here in the States.
Look at the Gaian Mind festival that happens every year in the US, bringing a lot of talent besides what's the "Top 40 of psychedelic trance"
For a bit of a more mainstream event in terms of acts, check out the Symbiosis festival in California. Last year the Orb Festival in NY had a very very impressive lineup, similar to what you would find at some festivals.
From the experiences I've had with larger parties in Mexico, Europe and Japan, they're nice... but I really enjoy the vibe of smaller parties that are outdoors where you can meet a lot of people, as opposed to events where critical mass is more important than community building...
I assume you've looked into how much it costs to do any sort of event here in most of the US. Locations that will keep authorities from showing up is pretty difficult when you're trying to find something for more than 1000 people, plus getting the artists that will bring that 1000 people or more to the event. There's quite a bit of a scene in the States, just very spread out... From what I've noticed playing in the states, most parties pull about 250-300 in regional areas, however as witnessed with the AUM festival last year, just trying to get the trance scene together in one place is very very difficult.
There are some laws in many of those Northeastern states that prevent such gatherings from happening... However, there are outdoor parties that happen in NY, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, etc.... Some are permitted, some are not. So I recommend that you go and take a look at what's actually happening here before you automatically decide that there's nothing going on here, some people that have worked their ass off just to get us to the point that we're at might differ as to what getting psytrance known entails.
P.S. I was in Conn 2 months ago playing a very nice party, where were you? An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |

beatlab, check your PM. there actually is some psy in new england, you just don't know about it yet 
I myself just recently "entered" the scene here after moving from israel and god knows if i missed psy!
