hmmm, I seem to have completely missplaced the last few good old days I had left, but it's cool cause I found all my old scratchy vinyl and my new CD's with crap music on them. Can't find my attitude either.
damn
Today was pretty good though...
Very much looking forward to what tomorrows technology, artists and party people will bring           Trance is the answer

In the good old days, we were blessed by the fact that there were not that many labels, how lucky we were that we didnt have that much choice in music.

In the good old days Flying Rhino,Spirit Zone,Matsuri,Blue Room,Atomic Records and many more worthed 50 of todays labels each.

In the good old days, djs had much less skill and experience than now - too bad we have lost this in this new scene of ours.

In the good old days the dj's had double the skills and experience than todays wannabe dj's.I dont even dare to compare people like Mark Allen,James Monro,Antaro,Tsuyoshi,Max,Dino Psaras and their mates with todays kids that pretent to be djs.

In the good old days, there were far less genres to choose from - Oh the joy, so easy to know what you have to like.

In the good old days there was true psychedelic trance to be enjoyed and no other kinds of music that pretended to be psy trance in order to sell like in our days.

In the good old days there was a lot of talent that filled in the high quality gap although if you ask me even back then the tracks were of highest quality than today since most of todays artists use just software and poor ideas that cant much the talent and hardware that artists used back then.

Unfortunately these days are over.

Its all myths and legends Detox, thats all, myths and legends.

People are as they are, and they love psychedelic experiences as much today as 10-15 years ago. Also, people are no worse today than then, more like just sliightly more evolved. Afterall that is the way of nature.

For me, the shit:gold ratio of tracks is 95:5 both for the old and the new releases.
Some time ago, I listened through all my releases, and thats how the math looked afterwards.

So, why have I become more critical of music now than I was back then ? Easy answer, the more of something you experience, the more you will appreciate and acknowledge the finer qualities of the material. This is also where the statement "there is no substitute for experience" becomes true.

What am I trying to say here ? Im just saying, at least for me, that I have changed. I am not some 16 year old kid learning the traits of goa djing anymore, and the music as such in general seems less magic - however - if I dig longer, spend more time on it, essentially do what I taught myself over the years, I will find the special and magic music once more.

Just takes time and commitment.

When I talk with new people in the scene, they are just as blown away by it as I was 10-15 years ago.

Setting that aside, the MTV Full On trend is ridiculous. However, there was completely ridiculous music 10-15 years ago also. I wouldnt prefer one over the other, thats for sure.

if you remember what happened in the good old days you were not out there like me...all i remember of the good old days is that i used to twist and turn, jump up and down...run like a mad man and then sit down for awhile...then take another hit of god knows what and storm the dance floor and then i remember that 500 mad men would march and stomp there feet pointing there fingers in appreciation of the dj...going round and round in circles...i remember i met tina the flying tuna who taught me to drive a luna           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

i dont know u ppl but is just sad and pathetic to be crying around about the past i mean everything changes nothig ends at all.
its a big paradox!!
looks like the underground trance scene makes boom and audiences around the world get really hungry about more and more music and then we reach this point where we get together in a forum just to complain about how the scene has surrendered to the money of the masses (ourselves!!)

in my humble opinion is not a bad poem, but the message its useless.
maybe things around the scene have changed a lot but the feeling of the party is always within you and there were always be a right place with the right persons at the right time for making THE party.
