Yes it`s nice to have vocals once in a while.
really agree about the element album and the Fly Agaric track. You can get hooked with those vocals and have them running in your head for a whilelol

If u want the latest Vocal track check out Bamboo Forest- Breath

first of all , great topic !
personally i think that vocal samples used properly can only contribute to a flow of a track , they may open some new direction in it or bridge berween themes and not nessecarilly by words . after all vocals are another instrument in artist's arsenal so if them make music better why not use them ?           Dance is my Trance

I like vocals especially if they are in language i dont understzand, or vocals that are twisted until they are unrecognizable.

something nordic always sounds cool (swedish, danish etc...) i wish israeli producers would use more hebrew samples, i love the sound of that language when i hear people speak it at parties (especially girls, very sexy).           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

can't remember where i read this...

"shamans believe that words should not be used to describe the indescribable"

not that i mind words in a tune or two....as long they surprise me mind!

For me it's very important to have some on tracks, feelings are different, some people can remember their own influences before listening psytrance like pop, rock, disco...
And vocoders makes people crazy !!!!
Sub 6 use a lot , Ticon live so crazy with microphone , and certainly now infected mushroom rocks for sure !           All I need is beautiful melodies...

difficult to comment on becouse people have thier own idea of what works in a track. there is no right or wrong, but personally i think sometimes it works, sometimes it dont and especialy in trance it is hard to find the balance. i agree with aje in that i love hearing other langueges couse to me it is like an instrament not a voice. you process it with a different part of your hearing system as apposed to a language you know and can speak...

if you really want vocals in trance you should check out some of the newer ebm industrial stuff. alot of EBM sounds like goa with industrial vocals. icon of coil is a good place to start.

like basilisk, I dont like vocals so much. One of the things I love about trance is the ´openess´, how it connects with you with (in my trippy language) a ´fractal margin-of-error´. With this I mean that trance makes a straight connection with yourself, but at the same time without being fixed, stable, closed.

vocals, at least for me, make you very closed to the fixed associations those words pass to you. If they say "we want to dance", thats exactly what you understand from it, and imo that´s kinda missing the whole point somehow
