of course this will be a killer party!
SUB 6 is THE fastest growing trance act as far as I know.
They have come to japan twice already and have just blown the crowd away!
I will be going to watch them.
GOLAN, OHAD!!! I cant wait to see you guys!!!

Where is Mack from? Did he used to DJ Hip Hop? Is he a young Phillipino guy who lives in Tokyo?

Thanks Intelabeam. I lost contact with the one I was thinking of. Oh well, but I wish the best to Brazilian Mack.
I'm in LA right now so I won't be attending this one unfortunately. I'm looking forward to Dimitri and Arturo (Maia. I think you know him) on Halloween and HuxFlux and GMS on the 22nd of November.
By-the-way - I like the collaborations you have released lately. Best of luck to you too Intelabeam.

Yeah!!
Sub 6 was definetely kickn` . one of the guys were up playin the drumset which really made it look and sound like a real live for sure. highlights were live mix of el novasion, one shot, and some cover of a real famous track... the vocals i had heard of but forgot, and many tracks i had never heard of.Personally i also liked dj mack`s play, this guy knows how to play the latest full on with great mixin skills. had never heard of any of the tracks he played....i wonder what his top 10 would look like

But the problem was the crowd of this event. It had been almost a year ago since i last went to a major organized party at a place like differ but it was horrible
I mean i don` t want to blame it on VQ for such a mess, but i think this was the worst crowd of party that i had ever been to. there were fights every now and then and people`s look on their face seemed so pissed, that i had no idea why these people were here. I had expected to come to a trance party, but what i encountered was a place for those "tough guys" to battle it out.
Also, since all3 of the live acts names were
not really well known in japan, 95% of the crowd ended up being the so called` i don`t know the dj but idon`t care` type of people.
i feel bad for VQ in a way cause they can`t choose the crowd. especially cause the effort was there by bringing in new acts to Japan. Many organizers seem to not take the risk for them, but VQ still has the idea of giving new prospects chances. well done, although i would not like to go to those big partys anymore for a while.

I can imagine far too well. No thanks!
It's such a pity because Vision Quest bring amazing acts and set up superb sound, but then do nothing to ensure a good vibe. Does it seem like they actually encourage the negativity? Tough guys in the powder dukin' it out. Sounds great.

Yeh this was a brilliant party. Sub 6 was killer for sure. I didnt get the chance to hear other acts but i must say this party was all about SUB 6. It was the best live act i have seen these past few months.
GOLAN, OHAD you guys rocked. Good to see you guys too.
Well as for the vibes at the party... i agree with taku... I personally got pretty close to getting my ass kicked at this party. Some guy happened to trip over my foot, and he fell to the ground. Then all the sudden he just comes up to me saying hes gonna kill me. I found out this guy is one of those so called mafia type of guys from one of my good friends. So i just decieded to leave the party after that.
The party had such good sound, i just feel bad that the party had to have such a bad crowd that day... Mafia and gangs everywhere just fighting. I just wish these type of people would go somewhere else and not ruin the party vibes.
Good party by visionquest though. Keep up the good work.

I recant my statement that I "read you wrong" Morgana (see Mitsumoto thread). After reading the reviews of your Sub6 party I AM TOTALLY disgusted by what you do. Moragana wrote, “I think (and it is just one opinion) that to get the whole world tranced WAS the idea.” Do you still think this?? If you answer yes you are an idiot or your real motivation behind this statement is to get a ticket sale from each person in the whole world. Some people do not deserve to know about the culture we have created. They DO NOT, and WILL NEVER understand or belong. I am not being selfish and saying boo hoo, I want parties to be the way they used to be back when I used to go bladda bladda blah….. I am saying you need to tone down your profit machine and stop ruining it for the trancers who do want to attend your events and actually listen to the artist you present. It sounds like you should be promoting gangster rap.
Taku believes that it is not the promoters fault for the crowd that shows up?!?!?! Really??? So the promoter doesn’t attract the crowd? The promoter doesn’t send people out into the street to hand out flyers or leave stacks at shops that cater to the kind of people you want to attend your event? HELLO!!! Wake up. It is ONLY the promoters fault. That is why they are called the promoter. If you advertise to the wrong people then expect the wrong people to come and do the wrong things. I can not even imagine a fight at a Trance party??!?!? A fight? I have been to well over a hundred parties in…(counting)....7 countries and have NEVER seen a fight. Have you ever seen a fight in a church / synagogue / temple / mosque? I know the expression Taku writes about when he mentions the pissed off look on the faces of some of the people. These are the predators. The exact people I say do not belong at a party. They come to the parties cuz they are attracted by the idea of getting messed up and checking out all the cute girls we Trancers hang out with. Then they get pissed when they can’t get any and no one will talk to them. Too much speed and acid doesn’t help the situation any. They don’t understand the girls are not there to get dry humped and the psychedelic snacks are not for the uniformed or stupid. These people belong at a rap club or rock concert and I think that is what you should start promoting. LEAVE US TRANCERS ALONE YOU PIMP OF AGGRESSION.

Hey apple pie, it`s true that the promotors have the the capability of choosing the people that will attend their party. but that has a limit to a certain extent.
The main issue is that trance in Japan has just gotten too big. We have the biggest scene in the world, and this is totally commercilized. Alright, to point out some examples i heard that if u go to 109( a huge mall for japanese `gals` )
[gal]/n/ japanese young girls who are always under the influence of trend. often having the appearances of tanned skin and bright hair.
u will be hearing psychedelic trance coming out of those stores. I once heard shpongle from a mobile shop in Shibuya. So what i am trying to point out is that these days anyone can come to a party. It `s totally OVERGROUND. I can also add the fact that in japan you maybe watching tv late at night and find yourself watching gms in some program or a cm of the latest album from sun project and so forth. This is the REALITY .Therefore the problem does not just go for VQ, but for other major organizations such as solstice and Arcadia, as well. cause These 3 attract the commercelized crowd which turns out to be the worst crowd in japan. and the sad fact is that there is no turning back to where it was years ago because big money is involved. This is the reality in Japan and some factors that are ruining the scene at the moment.

i think that apple pie is right, the responsebility of the promoter is to get the best crowd/vibe in his party, this is what it is all about .
just a little bit more love and less nombers.
it works.
