THE BEST psychological & mental healing technique in the world has been discovered and propogated by BUDDHA!

Its called Vipassana Meditation. It a deep self surgery of your mind, brain everything.
When you begin, you go for a 10 day meditation camp where they teach you this technique. (set of techniques actually)
Noble Silence is maintained and you meditate for 10 hours everyday and by 7th day you are in a deep mediatitive trance removing all the negativity from your system and becoming a healthy individual!

http://www.dhamma.org

It has centres ALL over of the world!

This technique has saved many many people and the guru has been recognized and put on the board in the UN peace council, he sit along with dalai lama and the pope.

What I love about this organisation that they dont ask for donation like many other religions. And this is not a religion its totally meant to help humanity. they dont even charge you money for the 10 day course and the teachers are loving caring and enlightened personalities.

Anyways, Plz do share your experiences, i'm sure many people have been there as it has centres in many countries all around the globe..

I stopped reading after the word "pope".           -------------- Dark & Twisted Night Psy --------------

hey, can anyone here give a little bit trivial information about those courses please? it would be great if you do so.

for instance - are you allowed to check your emails and to bring a satelite internet with you or is it totally out of question to have a laptop with you during the course?
you are sure they take anyone , no matter his spiritual believes and his current philosophies about life?
are you alone all the time?

i see that there is a course in the nord of germany next week. the next course will be in december. actually i am really very suitable for this right now, because i spend most of the time alone anyway. since months.

rules (for your own good meditation) are for example: No communication (not even eye contact, if possible), no books, computer etc. ... you should be able to only concentrate on your meditation ...
Yes, vipassana courses are open for everyone, doesn`t matter, what you believe in, where you come from etc.
No, your are not allone all the time ... you genereally meditating together with maybe between 50 - 100 people in Germany (in Triebel / Vogtland), but complete silence and no communication.

Hope, that helped ...

In Triebel (Vogtland) in Germany you sleep in a room, which u share with approx. 4 people (room is youth hostel style), but I only can speak for the rooms for the male students, since both sexes are separated, so that they doN`t sllep all in one room which could be bad for your meditation ...

okey, thanks.
i applied in one of the forms.
lets see what will happen.
i would love to make it in bavaria actually.
thanks for the info.

btw the easiest way to " see things as they are" is to put all the people from the other sex aside in another room. and the problem is solved right. finally the things as they are.

i have been doing it for the past 3 years or so. last year i did two vipasanas of 15 days each with a one week break in between...i think that was the most intense thing i ever did           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Just came back from my 2nd 10-day-course 2 days ago.
This time it was much more intense then during the first course. More concentration, so nearly managed to feel sensations everywhere in the body. Also achieved more equanimity to those sensations in the understanding of their everchanging characterisitic, that reflects the rule of nature "rising and passing away". I kind of purified my mind (a bit) in that way, which makes me happy
I can recommend this technique a lot. maybe not a technique for everyone (a lot of rules and high chances that u face strong feelings from the past, which could be too much for soe people), but deffenitly a technique, that brought wonderful results for a lot of people all over the world.
Thank you mister Goenka for spreading this technique all over the globe
With metta

Yeah, it`s totally worth the effort of taking time for it and following the rules. It will (or should) have good effect on your way of life.

Hey, during one Vipassana course I had one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. My mind was so calmed down, so clear, pure, that it (when walking through nature) simply just looked at nature, no values, jut a clear precise view on it. Much opener view then normally. Not necessarily connectedness; but so pure, fresh, open. It was so beautiful.
Such a clear, belanced view could be such ab beautiful and helpful thing through normal life.
That`s why I am looking forward to my next course ... to get more into this technique.
