V.A.
"The Plot Thickens" (Crotus & CCR)

01. Zion in Mad - H5N1
02. Tribalistic Society - psychedelic life
03. Moses - Trukket I lyden (Minimal Criminal RMX)
04. Tribalistic Society - the blue friry (Moses RMX)
05. Minimal Criminal - dark lord of the synth
06. Fine Diner vs. I3IS - DLS
07. Dropped - flying saucers
08. Product PLacement - time mechanics
09. Alfredo Garcia - frequency switchers
10. Visua - bing bang

first have to mention that i really like this stuff as it has so highly tripped out
attitudes if you are open enough to listen to ... just to prevent any misunderstoods
cause of my labelextension marked here ..

It is monday noon for me and I decide to take the ride this VA is supposing to
delight me with. I put on my pink glasses sitting on my desk, and wait a bit, while checking mails, for the flow to arrive .. and a well choosen moment for, as this is no music for the sunday afternoon, no its more progressive more techy and spare of too much
elements and perfect for a monday morning here!

there it comes and first goodie here titled like we called it here "the chicken-flu",
by Zion in Mad gave me a bright smile .. thick atmosphere is builded up from beginning, and i start to regongnize the helmet of the tripped fitting quit well above ..
Tribalistic Scociety right after I already heard before and their "Psychedelic Life" grooves a bit more brisky with strong tribal percussions and before its getting to monotone this tune turns into a quit twisted direction ... a sweet loop, the first one stucks in mind keeps me attentive .. with yet another and even more bubbling attitude Moses delights me with - Minimal Criminal gives his influence in "Trukkel I Lyder", what this might mean?!?! ... with kinda bewitching loop in the back this goodie forces me to go deeper .. nice little acids flying around, a decent groove and then .. unfortunately a long break .. some may know already how i like these useless breaks doesnt build any tension ..
again the Tribalistic Scociety contributed with "The Blue Friry" but this time it was Moses has his hands on it and this is the first is not so much in my focus here, too housy touch with nice percussions, but not my fav ..
Minimal Criminal sended me far away with their goodie .. from beginning the atmospheric breath and the bewitching loop build up the tension quit long to give me the groove finally .. this is a far tripped out gem .. twisted burps and some very nice samples makes it to an stomper never gets boring even it does not have so much elements ... killer !
Fine Diner meets I.3.I.S. and created "DLS" .. from beginning it has a housy flair here which usually i dont like so much .. for some reason its quit ok here .. the phat groove keeps ya going
and till the first break .. a sax ..nice ... this reminds me hardly in some very famous progressive acts from Germany .. wow .. massive psychedelic monotony as its best!
Dopped brings "Flying Saucers" .. a rolling wooden groove and some crunchy samples keeping me taking further attention .. yeah this one is a quit a cool tune too .. its groovy with lots of little titbits great percussions packed in a catchy atmosphere .. great tune!
Product Placement starts "Time Mechanics" with rain .. damn here it rains for 3 weeks already (A) .. a decent stomp with spare elements keeps my tension hardly .. ha .. a weird plucked instrument comes in with a sharp lead rigth after .. then later this original pipe creeps in and becomes a dominant part of the track .. quit cool as its not so overwhelming ..
one before last Alfredo Garcia made the "Frequency Switcher" with a deep phat groove catchy from beginning .. if it wouldn't be that housy!!! .. again a hard reminder on some german proggressive
heroes had his best times a few years back .. unfortunately leads a bit into nothing here ..
Visua finishes this fucking nice journey with a "Big Bang"!!! .. and hell yeah it is .. this last one maybe presents this trippy attitude i learned Cosmic Conspiracy to love for the best! ..

in the end i still wear my helmet and u got a live listening review here .. i remind "The Lurker"
as even more tripped out more playful, but nevertheless this bubble fits quit well into the doctrine DJ Wizdumb and Bes started with .. just a bit more techy maybe .. with some housy hints .. cool release and
I know there is more to expect .. i am nosy ...

thx for the music

"Trukket I Lyden" is Danish and roughly translated it means "Stretched in the sound". The title comes from the sample, which is a recording of the famous danish poet/musician/journalist/nutjob/etc. Dan Turell.          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Nice review Noise Poison, a good honest one at that.

Just want to say it's an absolute pleasure and honor being on this compilation with so many fine artists along side, with two of the most respected prog labels and djs in psy compiling this beast of a cd, what more could you ask for!

I got myself an early bird copy of it at winter solstice, totally blown away by every single track on there, absolute quality!

For me it was an interesting balance between dark-ish minimal techno and dark progressive psy, I wouldn't go as far as calling it completely dark, the elements are defiantly there though and it fits the category, however I can see its more concentrated around low lying bass textures and staunch fatness and that might give the impression of being dark, although i can guarantee it has a perfect balance of both light and dark, portrayed quite obviously by the yin-yang on the cover.

Cleaver concepts, unique ideas and a must have for any progressive enthusiast!

This is a fantastic album.

Quality listening from start to finish, nice mix of tunes. The comp has been so well put together. Congratulations Mr. Wizdumb and Bes.

Fav tracks for me so far..
1. Zion in Mad - not usually my styles but it sounds so good and groovy, great way to kick off the cd
4. Tribalistic Society - The Blue Fairy (Moses rmx) - FARKIN HUGE! and just keeps building and building and building (and yes its tribal)
5. Minimal Criminal - Dark Lord of the Synth - fuck whats not to like about this track. Its oh so Minimal Criminal, its dark and nasty, it grooves, has unexpected moments and heaps of star wars samples . i'd like a ticket
7. Dopped - Flying Saucer - well the fattest bass i think i have ever heard.

and the rest are bloody good too :-D

congrats CCR and Crotus
