Well I think the Samothraki organisers will sell a video tape from the festival. Cause private recording of the festival were prohibited (a friend of ours got his tape confiscated).

from what i know
they want to release a dvd-cd with the GMS live act.
And Detox man,why are you so negative with the samothraki organisers?//? In a previous post of yours you were saying that they dont have any clue about the music,and now this.....Why man?
You know them personnally and you say that???

some organizations make fucking strong parties.. BOOM TO SDFT..
they broght helicopter to record the site so i guess the dvd will very nice.. im not into buy this kind of stuff but for lovers it realy will a nice reminder where the best party was..

T_H_C i am not against anyone.
Its just not nice to go at a 5 days party and to not be allowed to record yourself having fan and your friends so that you can see the movie whenever you want.
You pay for the tickets good money and you have every right to do whatever you want in a polite way offcourse.
Allowing them to make money from a video with you and your friends inside its not nice at all.
And i never named the people that make festivals and dont have a clue about the music,YOU did.
And yes i know the people that make festivals and what is their experience.

only for a note - every festival (not only trance) have this rule "no private video and photo". u can see that on voov/boom/boom bamela/bereshit/every festival. reasons ?? dont know exactly but easely it can be trying protect org themself from a afterwards videos with some ugly stuff that can be found into the festival... thats a rule at all events like this.. so i realy dont see any special feeling about this one...

You didnt NAME them,yes,but you were refering to the samothraki organisers ...NO?
And about the videos...as Zombi said its a rule on every festival and that is to protect themselves,and we all agree to that before we buy our ticket.But still,i saw many many cameras filming this fest...too many people to control them all i guess...now imagine that 1 of them might be a journalist from national tv,and he/she is filming the dancefloor and everything...would you like to see it later on the evening news? dont think so...
And i dont think you know these organisers,because if you knew them you wouldnt speak like this....and i didnt say that you are against anyone,,you are just too negative amigo...

As i said you named the organisers not me.
I am very carefull with what i am saying.
You are talking about the festival like it was a drug party that you are ashamed of.
What would be wrong to show the festival on national tv?
They show worst things than that already.
Anyway if you think that i am negative then just ignore me

detox,man,be real.. central tv know to show things almost always in negative way to alternative cultures.. i think all around the glob its right..
thats wasnt drug festival but were there alot drugs,so it wasnt very hard to make some video clip with alot "anti social" actions from different ppl..
as haldolium named their upcoming album, as what i want say u - be real..

I think its logical for many reasons why the organizers dont let people use video-camera. Imagine what will happen if the Star Tv or Mega or Ant1 show some parts with people taking drugs in their evening news.. Dont forget that Star Tv labeled the party as 'Satan's Party'! The other stations only had to comment that there lots of drug users and junkies in the area .The media didnt mention anything about the actuall show.nothing at all... So imagine my friend detox if a person from Star tv video tape people taking e's or smoking hashish.... what will happen then?
Remember what happened when 'MANA' raver spoke on tv few years ago?
Have you read the headlines of the Macedonia newspaper on 2 or 3 January 2002? (Trance festival in Ivanofio stadium) definetely not something nice..
And yes in this festival too many people on drugs , too many dealers...

The truth is that lots of these 'D' people were from countries from Eastern Europe and Russia!
The situation generally was a bit out of control..
About the topic: The only video i know that is going to be released will be the one with the GMS live and is going to be sold as a DVD disc sometime in the Autumn.

To say the truth, I've checked the the Accass All Areas site: they sold tickets to the festival by inet and they sell in their online stall different things connected to parties and electronic music, videos of different trance events. The video of Samothraki Festival wasn't mentioned thear yet....  |
