-I used to play Viewtiful joe alot while jamming to Audialize's album, Wanted.

-I listened to B.P. Empire consistenly while playing Super Mario Sunshine.

-Uploaded numerous tracks to my xbox while playing project gotham 2.

-The Gran Turismo 4 psytrance tracks are great, however, tracks such as Alien Vs. The Cat - The Race are nowhere to be found on the game.

Passatamnesiac:

RE4 does not need psytrance music. It's soundtrack is pure bliss. I think psytrance would destroy the entire mood of the game. For example, try listening to Rinkadink's - Hope was closed while trying to naviagte through the castle with that annoying ashley. Come on, the castle music in some of the best music in a video game.

Personally being an a hardcore gamer, and an avid psytrance listener, I would love to see more psytrance musicians trying to break in the video game industry as music composers. I think their sound would take the video game industry to new heights.

Motorsport-games work brilliantly with psymusic.

Gran Turismo 4 was always acompanied with Kemic-Al - Twisted Parameters

Vice City, and Artcore... Can't get a better combination than that. There's nothing more disturbing than committing senseless violence while listening to fluffy music!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

do.. you.. listen to Artcore? wow, ok =)

Best music score to a game ever must be "Final Fantasy 7" Gosh how I loved the emotion in this games music score. He (japanese guy) is a genius in creating emotional strange music. .. I wish the new psytrance producers would take some lessons from game/movie music score producers. Emotions and psy go good together.

tetris is always enchanced when listening to music that goes in the same speed like the level of the game!

in very fast levels some crazy drum & bass is essential
maybe some fulllon to!

prog and all other slowest styles are for slower levels!

The guy you're refering to is Nobuo Uematsu, and yes, he is a great composer(but not the best Video game composer IMO). Honestly, I think final fantasy 6 had a better soundtrack than final fantasy vII.

I have also listened to some DNB while playing gran turismo 4. OMG, that makes the really intense, especially if you're doing one of those long ass endurance races.

I think what would really go great with RPGs is not psytrance but psyambient. Some of that music really fit the mood of certain fantasy locals throughout an RPG.

I have listened to nova natura while playing dragon warrior viii, and man I tell you, it makes the game more fantasy than it already is.

I tried to play Resident Evil 4 while listening to Qlippoth, after pissing my pants within the first half hour, I thought it would be a good idea not to double dose myself with horror...

Not to mention there's something slightly more disturbing about listening to (Cr)happy music while committing multiple felonies...

Oh and for me, one of my favorites is playing Katamari Damachi and listening to some Suomi.. Quite fitting if you ask me...

Driving games, Drum & Bass for sure, but some Ghreg on Earth works great too...

And for those puzzle games, good hard techy stuff like pps project...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

You are right man, I think you just misunderstood me. I was just using it as an example of a game that would not be good with listening to external music.
