VA - Snap, Crackle, Drop (Morning Monsters) CD

01. Electrypnose - raising monsters
02. Neuron Compost - safety of inanimacy
03. Hired Goonz - damn raccoon
04. Sygmatix - leadless dance
05. Haltya - spagu
06. Crazy Ducks - ducks on mars
07. Sattle Battle - om weed
08. Reality Pixie - tripples
09. Texas Faggott - wedding march
10. Decibel - warp pipe
11. ITP - lose your illusion part 2.5

Morning Monsters Records is a new label from Australia and as the labels name as well the cover of this first output shows a bright grin and a defined sense of humour. the line up as well the commended dose seems to promiss me a very nice ride through and i am curious how this set fits together.

vince electrypnose from swiss makes the opener tasty as he is a multiflavoured producer anyway, there are no borders for him, and he uses to bring us so much different views of his electronic productions. here its a smooth goodie, starting with distorted breaks fitting wonderful as kinda appetizer. in a typical swiss manner of exactness and the defined touch of northern attitudes of twinky pinky drops he wobbles me through the track by becoming more and more complicated and guides me to next goodie.

Neuron Compost, and here we have my first favorite track of this cd. i am sure with this groove and the catchy leads nobody can ignore this tune and has to teeter while its running, I bet! what a funky tricky tune with it's sunny touch and vocodered breaky lines and a bewitching voice. the end part becomes spacy but freak out on the dancefloor thats for sure! hope to get the chance for the right hotty day to play this gem.

also the third participant, starts the groove phat and catchy before adding a lovely lead, my little son was noticing also immediately and was dancing in front of the speaker to. hired goonz a killer project with really smart tunes and lots of twisted sounds in between a very tidy atmospheric rippling thrill. killa!

Sygmatix is a new project to me and a deep groove starts the track with some nice samples keeping my attention, but their build up here does not meet my exception of a leadless dance. its nearly a weird track, no lead true, but also no idea to make a break and build it up once again. sorry not my fav in here, even the psychedelic factor shines bright in the end.

who knows haltya in former years? .. the multi tripped out project from the fins with so weird tracks sometimes ... and here we have a jumpy-groove-you-cant-stand-still-on-your-feet goodie. lots of catchy percussions slide from on to the other in a typical northern european manner. if you know what these dudes did in the past, you will be surprised how tidy is their arrangement in this tune, but will not miss the psychedelic factor of course. lovely!

the crazy ducks from israel are one of those rare projects not hiding this typical neo-full-onistic copy paste trance lots of their collegues bring to the world. they have the groove, they keep the fun factor on a high level and contributing maybe the most driving track. blubby samples with glitchy sounds spinning around always keeping the groove makes this one also to a stand out track made for the dancefloor!

sattle battle just released his debut album a earlier this year on Gi'iwa in Australia. he has more projects which shows his musical backround and this project really follows the doctrine of fun and catchy leads in his productions. this one is no exception with it'S jumpy baseline and lots of tweaky sounds. nevertheless i have to say a more average track of him, sorry.

Reality Pixie is a more trancy track and a driving base. its really not one of my personal taste, with too harsh leads. but a marking melody is builded not flipping out too much which made me glad as it becomes a bit more twisted to the end. if there wasen't this break doesnt made the track better art around 4min.

Wedding March by old heroes Texas Faggot is a so much screaming-out-the-fun-of-it track, shows again the humorously way of production the fins always show in their music. you will notice the melody and will maybe do something you did never before and possibly regret after!

Decibel starts with a decent electric groove and adds some catchy sounds to kick you after some decent breaks and guides me to a fine trancy one. the main melody is known and some artist used it before already, but never in this funky way. in the end he unfortunately tried to many tricks for my personal taste. a decent track.

last one is funny also. ITP brings a acoustic guitar, some scratches, reverbs and kinda real end track. like ending on the beach on the fire with smart drums added to the end leaving me satisfied behind.

in the end i have to say that i tasted a very nice compilation with lots of really good tracks, some are not my taste but here i find no real bad track and the defined touch of finnish madness is to be found here makes me grin from left to right. really nice debut for Morning Monster Records and first output for sure meets the expectations of the labels name.

thx for the music!!!

I've been enjoying this one a lot. Although I'm a fan of the night oriented Electrypnose material, I think this is my favorite piece of his. Really well-structured track.

Cant get enuf of electrypnose...
what really REALLY dazzles me is that he brings in the tune with absolutely no effort at all...

its like he builds the foundation of the track ... and then the tune just creates itself from within ... it just blooms into a beautiful flower from the void...

Its not pushed.. its not forced... its not created... it just floats to where it has to be... its like the ´tune´ itself has done a hit and is dancing to the track!

as you can see... this track has driven me mad.

Brilliant work Electrypnose.

Respect.

Yes, Electrypnose did it again. Anyone has noticed that this track has only around 134 bpm?

Lovin' this comp. That Texas Faggott track sucked me in and I was giggling like a school girl at the wackiness of it. Love it. The Decibel track was outstanding as well, using Gremlins was bloody awesome. And yes, the Electrypnose track gives your senses a workout. Great track. Hope Morning Monsters Records are working hard to bring out another comp. quickly.
