VA - SHIVA VS KALI

What started out as a dream on this very forum has bcome a crazy part of my reality now..
An amazing concept by one of my best friends Aghori to mix and match different styles of artists and put them in 2 artist teams to stretch the limit of one another. The result has been this CD with 10 tracks defining the future sounds of psytrance. I say futuristic because the style of the music itself is something which is not generic to most psy releases these days.

Let me have the pleasure to introduce u to my trip with this cd now..

VA - Shiva vs. Kali Tracklist:

1. aGh0Ri TanTriK & Oil - Heckler's Tamasha
2. Liquidnoize - Funk U! (Kiriyama's Palinka Demix)
3. aGh0Ri TanTriK - Necrophagy (eniChkin Rmx)
4. eniChkin - Saw (aGh0Ri TanTriK Rmx)
5. Distorted Goblin - Synthronisation (Mad Silica Rmx)
6. Noized-Return to Hellbob (Devic Rmx)
7. Devic - Dead Trap (Noized Rmx)
8. Silica - New Horizons (Distorted Goblin Rmx)
9. Jetlux - Tikpa (CSX rmx)
10. CSX - Chemical Activity (Jetlux Rmx)

1. aGh0Ri TanTriK & Oil - Heckler's Tamasha

A radical approach to makin psytrance for sure! I mean the sounds are funky but it doesnt take me anywhere?! Funky and abusing fully to the core! The kick and bass are phaaattt , soif you into that kind of fetish, this the track for u..slow and groovay!!

2. Liquidnoize - Funk U! (Kiriyama's Palinka Demix)

After the phat phunky one is gawn, im next cast into a forest world. A big big fukkin story man, one of the best stories i've ever heard. Forest, fast, funkyy and psychedelic!

3. aGh0Ri TanTriK - Necrophagy (eniChkin Rmx)

This is one of the best tracks on the CD for my style (full power full speed darkkkk) for sure!
enichkin has given a new crazy mindblasting theme to the original track by aghori which came out on his debiut album - Kabrastan. At 158 bpm, beats and bass flying in ure face, enichkin has given an insane twist with his music to the chants and tunes of what was necrophagy = "the act of eating a corpse".

4. eniChkin - Saw (aGh0Ri TanTriK Rmx)

This has to be the best track of the whole C.D. The sound design is out of it time, the 3Dimensional concept of the whole track makes the visual so much more real.
Enichkin + Aghori = Madness
no more comments

5. Distorted Goblin - Synthronisation (Mad Silica Rmx

From this point onwards a transformation in energy occurs. In this track expect Good giving vibes away from the mad cannibalistic worlds so far..
This track itself - full power dark grooves, excellent leads and effects and fully showing the true power of these brazilian and macedonian producers. Good stuff for the dancefloor anytime!

6. Noized-Return to Hellbob (Devic Rmx)

Devic is one of the most respected indian artists in the scene. At a more relaxed bpm, devic shows us that darkness and dancing is not limited to the unlimited bpm craze. A full power psychedelic track with some funny sounds of spongebob make this a unique dancefloor bomb. Expect laughing people when ure playin this... (hysterical ones )

7. Devic - Dead Trap (Noized Rmx)

Noizeedddddd..woah man the king of dark from germany!! Firing bullets into your brain a mean tone signifyin the concept of the CD's title..Cutting edge effects show us a path into the new realms never experienced in psy before!

8. Silica - New Horizons (Distorted Goblin Rmx)

Name says it all new horizons. A killer remix by distorted goblin! Amazin twilight vibes givin just the right mix of dark and light to move the album in a new direction and closing 2 tracks. Solid production, the tunes and the psychedelia will capture the heart of just about any1

9. Jetlux - Tikpa (CSX rmx)

I had never heard CSX till now. Cortical Systematix this duo from france has shown us the true power of what a morning psychedelic track can be. Fitting right into this crazy CD, i cant stop gettin amazed with the sheer variety and the way these tracks connect to make a larger story. Full power frantic dancing and happpy vibes seen on dancefloors everywhere i heard this being played.

10. CSX - Chemical Activity (Jetlux Rmx)
Jetlux..woah man..one of the best psychedelic morning artist from india!! A driving forceful track that i couldnt stop hearing n dancing again n again..A good closing for the CD with sorted vibes and the funky and good nature of the concept itself. Makes u think that relax it was just a dreamm..only a groovay one!

Conclusions:
I can feel the amount of effort and syncronisation that must have gone into the production of this one. The trip is just perfectly beautiful to the last detail. Thanks Sonic Tantra and all the artists for this lovely release. I hope you guys make more tracks together..seriously waiting!!

listen to the small samples and buy the cd if u like from beatspace - http://www.beatspace.com/dettagli/dettaglio.asp?id=3513

hi allegoric-psynce .. thanks for writing the review .. glad to hear that you like the music ..

quotes "At a more relaxed bpm, devic shows us that darkness and dancing is not limited to the unlimited bpm craze."

that's exactly my point .. just because it is fast bpm does not necessarily always mean it is psychedelic or dark ..

personally, i did have fun remixing Noized's track... can't wait for round#2 ..

the track .. Distorted Goblin - Synthronisation (Mad Silica Rmx) .. i liked it the most on the CD .. watch out for this brazilian guy ..

peace,
Devic
