Parvati records delivers their first release of 2011 with the second in the parvatrip series,Parvatrip 2.compiled by the owner and well known dj of Parvati records,Giuseppe.This particular various artist compilation showcases the variety in the parvati's stable of artists,all of whom are maintaining the quality of that special magical sound that parvati records is known for very high quality releases.Let me get stragight to the cd.
First thing that strikes me about the cd is its artwork,it is made by Betina who also did the coverart for the first parvatrip cd.It states or shows a very deep peacefull state of mind filled with magic and mystery, very calming and peacefull with a touch of magic and reality,on inquiring i found out that she was inspired by a painting of a surrealist painter representing a native american indian for this artwork,really nice work.Now lets get down to the sound:
The cd starts off with a track by Papiyan called woody harrolson,this track is the perfect start to any set anytime,anywhere,simply amazing,before you know it your feet are moving,your head is bobbing and you got a smile on your face,ok here we go then,perfect start,typical danish style bass and bounce with the right amount of dripping atmospheres and raw organic leads in crystal quality to set the ambience going,the track slowly build up to a nice colourfull bouncy atmosphere,amazing track to drop in any set,simply love it!
track 2 by Farebi Jalebi,a brand new artist who has been setting the whole scene on fire with his amazing production quality and versitality in sounds explored. in this va track, he gets straight to business with the carnival tradition.rock solid sound with ground breaking quality,slowly builds to its full flow and before you know it , you are dancing up and down full power to the bounce . halfway through the track things are slowed down for the dancers to catch their breath, before it is put into a higher gear of full trippyness and by the time you are at 5 minutes into the track you will be standing in the middle of the forest with your hands in the air asking for more.very nice track.
track 3 binary tree's by Jahbo drops in like a bomb, deep and heavy with perfect organic atmosphere and hypnotic leads which seem to create a very driving and powerfull feel to the whole track,excellent track to build the energy on the floor and get people tripping and dripping.
track 4 , back to [para]normal by Derango drops in like a flashback, something so familiar, yet unknown.clocking in at a bpm of 145 , it is the slowest track in the cd,here the eriksson's seem to go deep into the unknown worlds with a sense of purpose with eeire spooked forest leads and pads with a complete tripped out atmosphere, exploring the various caverns within the paranormal spaces, this track starts off like a lazy boy building to atleast 3 very special moments within the track itself,which will lead the dancer into a deep trance,perfect for just before peaktime operations.a laidback track with lots of color and charm to please all their fans.very nice
track 5 is a remix by Baba Yaga of a track by indian artist Gidra called spider skunk,the orignal track was also released on parvati records va "no time no space" in 2007, a completly immersive track with amazing organic leads and a nice bouncy bass.real good work with the remix which gives the track a very unique fresh feel,excellent track for all forest freaks to flow on.
track 6 is by Mubali, a new recruit for parvati, he seemed to have caught the parvati virus pretty well,pumping out the danish style bass with his unique mubali sound,this track slowly buildsup to a monster,jumping and roaring.with intricate lead work and flowing percusssions he makes you groove to the bounce very nicely with this track which has an amazing drive to it,simply a monster track.
track 7 by speakerhuggers or mubali + monno featuring freakplanet has the best pumping intro, comes in fat and big with a groovy heavy bass,amazing percussion flowz and deep thumping sounds with an amazing flow which builds up into beautifully crafted grooves and electrifying sounds which make you move in ways you never thought possible,too good!a real bigass track
track 8 is minotaurs by new finnish artist Vertical who has been ripping the floors in japan recently(rip japanese tsunami victims), his sound is very intense,full of a colorfull bouncy bassline with amazing amtosphere and crisp leads,definately one of the good new artists comming up,with perfect basslines and connector leads, his sounds are a perfect blend of colourfull goa bounce and the darker night forest ripping feel.amazing production,amazing track!
track 9 by japanese artist Gu is the final track in the va, this tracks sums up the cd as a whole , perfect forest sound with a colourfull goa bounce,amazing trippy and powerfull leads, with amazing clarity and precision.very typical of the new breed of japanese producers who are pushing the boundaries in this genre of sound and causing a Pandemic! This track slowly winds down through the trippy valleys into the plains of mystery and magic,perfect ending for an amazing cd.
This cd is a must have for all you freaks! all the tracks in this VA are hand picked to make any dancefloors erupt and explode,and to put a smile on any dancers face.with outstanding quality and awesome production the parvati crew delivers a monster of a cd which will be bombing all of earth for some time.simply amazing!!
fav - all!! ( i seriously liked them all and i think this is an excellent buy which all serious dj's should have in their cd cases)

cheerz homz,my first review ever,hope it didnt sound like i was suckin up , i really did love the whole cd,and these were my first and honest impressions,some grammar mistakes i see i nthere and need better articulation trippy drippy hehe.really enjoying this cd!

Mmmmm would be nice to hear new Derango album. C'mon you guys its been 6 years now.
Also would be nice to have Pourosupro album wich is on of Derango's guys side project.

Just got to hear the whole CD.
to be honest , i was expecting a little more from this... but Derango, Speaker Huggers and Papiyan takes the cake for me!.
