This is one cd which I have been waiting to release for quite a while now. It had appeared on psyshop.com some time back and was waiting for it to release ever for a long time. And well that its finally come out what can we expect…
Shift…words cant express the magic this guy puts into his music…and a compilation by this guy well..what can someone expect but GREAT music…well at least those were my first impressions when I heard about the cd….
And as for my review the guidelines  are the same…the opinions posted out here are entirely my VIEW, am sorry if someone doesn’t agree with what I say u can go ahead and put up your own review of this album…I don’t mean to act like a psy critic just a regular psy trance listener and more importantly Enjoyer…
Anyways heres the review..
1) Lemurians- Take Off To The Cosmos(Shift Remix)
The track starts of rather easily with a nice background feel to it. The sounds that begin to occur by the middle of the first minute are rather welcome…the track seems to somewhat get into groove..the work around the middle of the 3rd minute is rather nice..and then the track seems to change up and go into a different mode with twisted sounds playing…and then the tempo slows down..with a good background score…and the tunes tht come at the middle of the 1st minute come back on in the middle of the 5th minute...and from the 6th minute onwards it’s a faster tempo and a better sounding track…the sample “take off to the cosmos” is placed perfectly and the sounds following are great .all In all a good track to start of a compilation with….(8/10)
2) Azax Syndrom- The Convent
This starts off as a fresh sound with some bells sounding in the background…have heard a lot about azax changing his style slightly of late which is kinda true…the blast n change in tune at the middle of the 1st minute Is really cool…and the track has the perfect dark power playing....the music seems to be getting better as the track moves on….very good sounds from the 4th minute onwards…the break at the 5th minute is really nice..only for the track to pick up and blow ur mind away…with awesome twisted sounds be4 the part..and the track comes out as a much more powerful track from there on..wonderful track…I really like it a lot….(8/10)
3) Brethren-I.E.F
Very strange intro to this track..with some noises and a vocal piece…quite a lot of hardcore noises in the background sorta feel like it’s a mismatch of parts…then after the 2nd minute a fresh tune is placed into the track sorta fels like it is coming creepingly from the background good part that….a well earned break at the 3rd minute for a second or so and back on track…like the way its done in this track….then the tempo slows down for a while in the track..and comes back on track again…nothing exceptional in this track but certainly wont write it off as a bad track…a pretty good track imo….(7/10)
4) Digital Talk Vs Azax Syndrom- Hagigat
Azax is certainly becoming a sure shot favoourite of mine..as the style is more or less similar to the psychotic duo….pure dark power imo…nice stretching noises on this one to begin with…with a dash of bash here n there…the wicked noises don’t seem to stop and keep on increasing and nice outcome of sounds happen…which sorta makes the track sound even better….good noises keep on playin at the background and take over the entire track for a while n seem to disappear into the background….at about the 4th minute the track changes its mould and keep the listener begging for more power…and certainly it does come out..with great shift in the volume levels only to finally give a much more powerful outcome which will keep u reeling for the track to go on and on…superb track imo definitely one of the picks of the album for me…(9/10)
5) Artifact- Retch
Well this starts off in a decent tone..and a very twisted noise begins to take over…with the sample “what the fuck is goin on down there”….very well manipulated sample this one is…and after a lot of twists and turns the track slowly but surely begins…good layering of sounds in this track…again a good sample is placed into the track “open ur mind” sounds really good and then after the sample being played over 4-5 times the track is back to its roots…with good additional sounds as and when required…a nice listen on the whole…(7.5/10)
6) Shift – The Face
Well it’s the mans turn to show us all what his music is….this track starts off rather quick and somehow seems to be molded really well..after 2 minutes of normality, shifts trademark stretches are put into the track..gives a really cool feeling listening to it loud…and at the 5th minute mark the track sorta gives a different feeling and then comes back into the stretching noises which I find really cool….nothing extravagant about this track ..But honestly I had expected more….. (7/10)
7) R.A.M – Nice But Dimm
This ones got a very slow start and takes a lot of time to get to work….it keeps goin on..the only weird part about this track is that u fail to see the power rite uptil the 3rd minute…from then on the power is certainly visible but not as much as the other tracks…well probably the track is aptly named…”nice BUT dimm”..and the track ogeson into various stages at a few points in the track the whole feel of the entire track is completely different…as in if u fast forward to the 5th minute straight after the 3rd minute u will see how different the parts of the tracks are. A very reasonable track imo…(6/10)
8) Twisted System- Twisted Tiger
I have been going gaga about twisted system ever since I had heard the track our temple released on the project sun dew compilation….the feel of this track is somewhat the same…power but very different power….u can feel that right from the start…..u will feel a lot of similarities in a lot of ways with these two tracks….at about the 4th minute the blasting sequence is really nice…and really good sounds to follow it up….the track changes its mold at the 5th minute..but comes up strong again..a good one this….(7/10)
9) Scorb-Lets Go Raving
Firstly I gotta admit that this track has a really cool name..caught my eye the first time I laid them on psyshop..nice name this imo… …..this one starts of a lil twisted in the beginning and has the actual start at about the 1st minute….and it goes on..with a sinful way of sayin there is something special about this track and boi will u be smiling when u do hear it..just before the 2nd minute a series of sounds come up which are really really neat to say the least….and the track keep reeling for more of those noises which come back on by the 4th minute..in some weird way they bring out a weird energy out into the track….a pretty neat track with very well worked upon sounds…(8/10)
Well on the whole if u prefer Dark Power then this is a MUST have for u..no two ways about it..this is surely a good compilation and there wasn’t a single track which I thought dint fit into the compilation..this whole cd is the absolute form of raw dark power..a type which I am slowly being sucked in by…go ahead and buy this one u wont regret it I assure u…
On the whole I would give this compilation 8.5

i'll second that- this is a very good compilation, i like the direction Nexus-Media is going to, it started for me with the R.A.M album and it's continuing now with this cd. the best here in my opinion is Shift- the face, and R.A.M- Nice But Dimm.

yo thats a pretty good review 
shift is truly creative and gives us more and more top-quality shit.
however, to be honest i expected more from nexus media this time (both Penguin Rebellion and the R.A.M album was amazing and really special trax, especially the penguin rebellion)
but this cd i find not that good
but its still really good for sure so dont worry chris and all 
my favorites on this cd are shift - the face and scorb - lets go raving. The R.A.M also had a nice feeling and the Brethren hard and fast noizzzzzezzz.

Nice Review
I do like the whole album and i find it hard to single out any track as a favourite. It has that hard edge but still very danceable music, great work chris

hey man indeed great review for a great album . All tracks are marvelous ! Baba shift is killer , azax 2 , scorb nice track, artifakt - retch killer track reminds me artifakt - nosferatou in many ways and i love it ! In general lines  a big bravo to nexus media . .. keep the bombs coming

hey thanks for the review and nice comments guys..
really pleased that u like it,,, i'm trying to make the music on the nexus media compilations flow niceley,,, creating a good flow of style and mood on the disc
,, but obiously then i cant have all the comps sounding the same style,, so theres a different focus for all my comps and they retain their own character that way..
so i'll tell u a liitle about the next comp... its due for 6 weeks,,,,
called "source",, its a trip in melodic psy,,, shift style,, that means twisted and pumping,, but this time doused in copious sheets of fat melody - a bit of old skool goa influence and todays super production skills,,, its a journey for the twilight hours,,
i'll post a promotional soon
and thanks again to those who bought and play the midnight storm cd,, cheers for the support |

Very nice comp.! I like all tracks , its like one stormy trip , dark and uplifting !

Wicked compilation!! ...really impressive stuff!
I enjoy tracks from Azax Syndrom, Artifakt, RAM, Scorb, Shift, Digital Talk vs Axaz Syndrom... Can't wait to hear these on the dancefloors

Yeah, this compilation really rocks. Azax Syndrom is one of my favourite artists right now and Shift and Artifakt's have been producing genius music for a long time. Can't wait to hear the next comp and your artist album!!

3 of my favorite psytrance producers are Lemurians, Shift and Scorb. I think I might just have to get this one. I really like how Scorb has a track called "Let's Go Raving"!!
