The minute I landed my ears on this album…was totally amazed at what it had to offer…with the likes of absolum, cpu. Mekkanika, azax syndrome, sirius isness all in one compilation which compilation can go wrong??? I am no big time psy critic this is just my attempt to review an album which I like pretty much and since it hasn’t been done yet why not take it up. Hope my effort is not futile

By the way here’s the review…

1) Absolum- Take Off

A blaster to start off with. Brings about quite a lot of energy and the voices in it are really interesting and mixed up with the smashing beats sounds really cool. Typical absolum style.. love the style ever since I heard pulse by him. The work around the 3rd minute where things get cut off is great the similar effect can be felt at the 5th minute and then a blast with some good well earned sounds…the track gets only better towards the end and not surprisingly a great track by absolum (9/10)

2) Theoreme- Ram

Starts off pretty slowly but does pick up. Good sounds in this track like the work around the 2:30 sec mark. The track seems to be getting better as it goes on good change in the style at about the 4th minute. Keeps the head moving. The last one minute is amazing to listen to. The last few seconds of the track have noise as though a plane has just landed and stops. (7/10)

3) C.P.U- Natural Born Killer

Great vocals to start of the track. Very very crisp. The track takes of from the vocals and goes pretty deep. The tune goes on for a bit with the whooshs here in there..good stuff the track goes on a bit wouldn’t say the best work by CPU but the sounds are to my preference in this one got some good layering going on. And the vocals throughout are really cool and usually vocals are not preferred by many psy-heads but in this track the vocals sure do add to the track. (7.5/10)

4) Azax Syndrom- Replica

Not typical azax style very different. Sounds very nice around the 2 minute mark and it goes on for bout a minute. Then there is a change in the way it sounds and nice blast at about the 4th minute. Nice sounding track. Difficult to categorize this track but a good track for listening.(7/10)

5) Inneraction – Incorporated

Like the way this track goes on with its beats. Good sounds going on at the background(so it seems) the part at the 4th minute where it says 3-2-1 and then BAM! Greeeeat part that. Works very well. Glorious sounds from then on till then end and there is a repeat of the 3-2-1 part with not a great effect as the first time but blends very well into the tracks. Very neat track. (8.5/10)

6) Flexable- Synthetic Rhythm

This track has one of the most commonly used sample (from the 51st state) “my product is 51 times stronger…….” But this sample is played well with but not too well doesn’t pass on what it should. nice change in the flow of the track at about the 4th minute. Lot of different sounds incorporated into this track but somehow something in this track is lacking (6/10)

7) Sirius Isness- Dirty Drugs

Hehe wonder what it is with the vocals in all the tracks of this album thus far but the vocals in the start of this track are really funny at the start. Great sounds brought in at the first minute. Good change of style at the 2nd minute keeps u guessing as to what’s next. There is that typical sirius isness feel all through the track. You can keep getting it all through their track with mekkanika-2 weeks ago in Mexico. The 6th minute onwards is my favorite part of the track. Really good track for me. (8.5/10)

8) Mekkanika- Kahoona Burger

Funny name for a track don’t u think??? Yet again vocals in the track seem like the trademark of this compilation. But this track does start of well. Nice sounds very tweeky and then it goes ’a kahoona burger’. Sounds keep on drifting adding a really good flavor to the track and more references of a burger are made in the track. which kinda is over done. Guess this should have been in the soundtrack of the movie “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” the track gets back the goodness at the 6th minute again one more track where the style is arguable. All in all a good listening track. (8/10)

8) Puzzle- Get Some Vision

The first time I heard this track the start sounded somewhat like it was taken of absolum-pulse. But I guess that’s not it but all thru the start that feel is certainly there. The shifts of the sounds from the speakers add a good tone into the track and what follows are good sounds. Again the trademark of the compilation come to face ‘the vocals’ but this track sure does have a good feel thru and thru. The music seems to get better and better after the 5th minute. A good track to listen to on the whole. (7.5/10)

Overall I would rate the album really really good especially for home listening which is all I am confined to for the time being. But would recommend this track if any of ur favourite artists feature on this compilation. Would give this album a (8/10) overall yea am a bit strict with marks but hey it’s a good album overall

My favorite track most certainly is 1 followed closely by 5,7

I like this CD. It's the typical 3D vision style from beggining to the end. I'm not used to listen to a VA by this blokes without a Talamasca track, but what can u do
All in all, killer comp, nice tracks by Absolum and especialy by Azax Syndrome.
Rating : 8/10, for the dance floor 10/10 :>

I'm suprised. You know what "a White Castle" is?

A small square of secret knowledge only revealed to few.

very bad news to hear that many of these tunes have vocal's in them.. in a way im not surprised, but at the same time i didn't think even 3D would turn that way... (NOTE: I have yet to hear the compilation, therefore the music can still be great).. Maybe that is why Mind Control records has opend up.. to stay away from this vocal trend?

Best of luck with this new psy-pop stuff..           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9

Shaqattack-
kahuna burger is from "Pulp Fiction"...

clown-
Mind Control opened for other reasons, in 3DV the direction has been going towards high-tech dancefloor without melodies (or with half bar small ones) and Mind Control its the opposite... nothing to do with vocals in my opinion.

A very typical and formula sound from 3d Vision. I have a feeling if they dont digress from their same bass lines this label will end up being a parody of itself much like those shocking Spun compilations of late.

Agree with you, fullom.

Except for the Azax Syndrom, Flexable and Puzzle tracks, this CD brings nothing new for me.

I was expecting something a little more inovative from 3d Vision.

Anyone knows from were the sample from Azax Syndrom- Replica was taken?

good compilation,,, some tracks maybe a little standard though...

favs ::
1 - absolum - great track to start a set - really good end section

2 - theoreme - cool track,, good energy - perhaps a bit mono though...

3 - cpu - great groove and a nice tight psy sounds

4 - azax - what can i say,, it smashes when u play it,,, dunno if i like the last melody/line,,, but it works on the floor

the rest are good and will work for sure,, buut they dont really capture my interest like the others

good cd though - - go buy it - 10x better than most other crap out there - i can actually play some music off this disk!!
